"So... Do you have to take this test after three days? Like, can't you skip it or something?"

Annabeth rolled her eyes. "No. I can't, dork." Percy scowled. Why did she have to take this stupid test? And he had plans for them at that exact day!

Annabeth smiled lightly. "Why don't you want me to take it, Percy?" Percy's palms started to sweat. "Uh... Well I wanted to go to dinner with you so..."

Annabeth looked at him strangely and then narrowed her eyes. "I think what you're trying to say is that... What was the word, now? Something that starts with 'd' and rhymes with 'mate'? Do you know what that is?"

"Hey!", Percy protested. "Look. We're best friends. I can go out on a dinner with you, can't I? But now that you have to write a test that'll take a long time to finish... I guess we can't go!"

Annabeth laughed. "Tell you what, after my test finishes, we'll directly go to dinner." Percy nodded eagerly.

"One more thing." Annabeth bit her lip. "Woulf you mind taking me to Thalia's house? I was supposed to study with her today."

Percy stood from the sofa and helped her up. "Let's go."

He put on his coat and was on the door when Annabeth said, "Wait!" He turned towards her confused. She ran up to him kissed him on the cheek. "Ich liebe dich."

He raised an eyebrow. "Sorry?" Annabeth just looked at him sadly before exiting the house. Weird, he thought.

He shrugged his shoulders and started after her.

The next time she said those words, it was one day before her test and in the freaking morning!

Percy was having a good dream when the ringtone of his phone woke him up.

He groaned and blindly searched for the phone on his bedside table. The name written on the screen was: Bestie Beth. (a.k.a Annabeth)

"Hey", he said, recieving it. She nervously answered back. "Hello, Percy. Um... I'm at Thalia's house. When I woke up this morning for studying, she was not there, as well as the rest of her family. There was note saying: Sorry Annabeth! Important buessiness. By the way,there are no food supplies at home and you also know that there is no resteraunt nearby. So how about you call one of your friends and ask them to send you breakfast? Either that,or you have to starve till who-knows-when. Bye."

Silence. Oh! He understood what she wanted. "Hey. Calm down. I'll make you breakfast. Be there in forty-five minutes."

He could almost hear her smile. "Also", she added. "Ich liebe dich!" That word again! She hung up.

He slowly sat up in his bed. What did that word mean?!

"How'd the test go?"

Annabeth grinned. "It went amazing. All thanks to your amazing scrambled eggs!"

Percy smiled as the waitress came over with two covered platters. One of them had a small, small paper stuck to it. Thank god! They had done as he had said. (Otherwise he would've gotten rekt.)

Annabeth was about to open the one with the paper stuck to it, but he shushed her hand away. "Nope. First the other one, please." She looked confused but obliged.

After finishing the first course, Annabeth looked curiously at the second tray. He nodded his head. "Go on. Open it. And read out what's written aloud."

"Read?", she asked. But she removed the cover anyway.

Inside sat a small paper with something written on it. "Read it aloud", he urged.

"Ich liebe dich auch", she read. After a moment, her eyes widened and a blush spread across her cheeks.

"It took me the Internet to figure that german word out", he admitted. "Percy I-I...", Annabeth stammered. He smirked.

"Seems like your secret word won't be a secret anymore, huh? Let me ask you the golden question. Would you like to go out with me?"

Her smile was the perfect answer.

Ich liebe dich means 'I love you'. German word.
Ich liebe dich auch means 'I love you too'. German again.
