It was noon. The announcement that the store was closing had just been heard by everyone. Customers hurried themselves to the cash registers or were still aimlessly wandering around, sure of themselves that they would find whatever they were looking for any second. Not my problem of course, or at least not for about five days. The boss wouldn't call me to the cash desks ten minutes before noon that week. Too much work.

I walked over to the other building to check out and then sit with my friends and eat, but my BFF decided to stalk me even more than necessary.

"Chinsang", the boy said quietly while blocking my way to the little room I was going to eat in. Jungkook just came out of there. "Eat with me."

He confused me. Sometimes he was a dick, a jerk, an arrogant bastard, but mostly an annoying little shit. Other times he was sweet. Don't get me wrong, those times were obviously rare. He changed moods so easily. Wasn't he still pissed at me ten minutes ago for giving him work? Why was he standing in front of me, looking down, his tone soft... as if he was embarrassed or shy.

"Sure... You can just sit with us", I said awkwardly.

"No... just you."

"Why?"

The boy looked up at me. That damn innocent look on his face. My god! Why did he have that face? Why was he so annoyingly handsome?

Jungkook shrugged.

I groaned. "Fine. Just let me get my bag."

Before I could pass him Jungkook held my bag up. He had taken it with him... "Did I even have a choice?" I asked while taking it.

Jungkook shrugged again and then walked passed me. I sighed, but followed him anyway. Outside, around the building was a small field. We sat somewhere on the grass, it was awkward, that much was obvious. The boy actually ignored me. He didn't look at me, just got out his lunch and started eating. His eyes were focused on the ground or on his food. He didn't say a word.

"So..." I sighed. "Did you really call me out here just to ignore me?"

Jungkook looked up bewildered. His eyes, big and confused, stared in mine. It was almost as if I had imagined him asking me to have lunch with him and I had been the one who decided to join him. His innocence came out well again.

I shut my mouth, not wanting to give in to him yet again. How did he even do that without saying a word? Pissed me off.

"A-Ani... I'm not ignoring you. I just don't know what to say to you..."

I let out a deep sigh, totally annoyed. "Then why am I here? You want to be with me, only me, yet you're not talking."

Jungkook shrugged.

His sudden shyness made him look rather vulnerable and I wondered if I had reacted too strongly. I hadn't...

"I didn't force you to. If you don't want to sit with me, fine go back inside."

"I can't! The alarm will go off!" I said frustrated.

A smug grin appeared on the boy's face. "Really? Too bad for you then." I mumbled some foul words in his direction, but ended up with nothing more than a firm pout on my face. I looked at Jungkook, hoping my puppy eyes would make him kinder. He wasn't even looking at me... Caught up in his own little world. "What's up with that alarm anyway? The whole store is filled with security cameras."

I got out my own lunch while listening to his silent complaints.

"The cameras are fake", I said. "And even if they weren't, it's so much easier to have an alarm than to have some vague video. Although... having both..."
