The boy and I sat at a table while Taehyung and Jimin offered to order everyone's food. Luckily they came back soon because it had been really, really awkward. Jungkook had crossed his arms and looked outside angrily while I had to sit next to that. How long could you sit somewhere quietly and remain pissed?
"Thanks", I mumbled when Jimin brought us the food. I looked at Jungkook and saw that nothing had changed about his posture. Was he so pissed that he wasn't even going to eat?
I sighed. "You should go to the restroom and clean your wounds."
Jungkook huffed. "Why don't you do it? It's all your fault", the boy mumbled childishly. He probably hadn't expected me to hear him say that, but I had.
I took his leg and laid it on my lap, making sure it wasn't fully outstretched.
The boy jerked up from the sudden physical contact. "Yah! What the hell are you doing?" he asked annoyed and wanted to pull his leg back, but I just grabbed it more firmly.
"Chinsang, seriously! Don't act like this, definitely not in a public place."
I shrugged. "You think I feel comfortable?" I asked while opening my bottle of water, after that I took a napkin and poured some water on it. I squeezed the drained paper together slightly. I opened the ripped part of his pants a little, ripping it a bit more in the process, but that was better than the fabric getting stuck in the wound. I made sure the cloth was at a safe distance from the cut and then carefully pressed the wet napkin against it. I knew it would sting, but the boy didn't make a sound, what also meant that he stopped protesting.
I looked at Jungkook, he was silently watching what I was doing, but looked up at my face once he noticed that I was as well. "I don't... really know what to do... I never took care of someone before."
"Well, obviously", the boy sighed and wanted to pull his leg back, but once again I pulled it closer to me. I placed one hand on his inner thigh to make sure he wouldn't pull back abruptly, but it startled the boy to no extent.
"Don't touch me there", he hissed and tried to get my hand away.
"Just stop moving. I won't go any higher, I'm not a pervert. Just fucking stop moving!"
The boy did as I said, frustrated, but he had to. I was stubborn.
I cleaned up the blood around the wound, not sure what else I could possibly do. Jungkook saw that I was lost and then draped his other leg on my lap as well. I eyed him curiously. "Well... now that you're busy anyway..." he mumbled and looked away.
I chuckled, but took another napkin and repeated the process.
"You guys look cosy", Taehyung suddenly commented out of nowhere.
I chuckled, but kept staring at the wounds on Jungkook's knees.
"Chinsang-ah! You should really eat! Your food will get cold", Jimin then voiced.
"I'm almost done", I said. I finished, threw the dirty napkins away and pulled Jungkook with me to the restroom so we could wash our hands.
Lunch had been fine. Taehyung and Jimin got more comfortable and they were... really special. The three boys together were absolutely amusing. I just sat and watched them though. When we were done, Yoongi picked us up again. I felt like such a child, needing someone to drive me places, but it did come in handy.
Yoongi noticed the mood had changed, but didn't let us know how he felt about it, his expression was blank. We arrived back at the store. I high fived Jimin and Taehyung and got out of the car with Jungkook.
We still had a quarter left so I decided to use that time wisely.
"Jungkook. Come with me", I said.
The boy looked at me strangely, but followed me when I went into the store. I led him around, showed him what was where, not in detail, but so he could send customers in the right direction.
"Are your hands okay?" I asked a little worried while we walked to the back to check in, I didn't let him know that I was actually concerned. I made it look like any ordinary question.
"I'll be fine", he answered absentmindedly. I nodded.
We both got to work. I gave Jungkook some job and knew that I got rid of him for a few hours at least. But a few hours passed and I couldn't find Jungkook. I sometimes had to pass where I thought he was working to go to the computer and scan an item, but he was nowhere to be found. When I had had enough of it, I walked over to the desk Jungkook was supposed to be working on, maybe the papers could tell me where that boy was hanging out or what he was trying to do. I noticed something else instead of the papers first however. Blood. I frowned, feeling weird.
The little spats of blood were on the desk, on the floor, I noticed some sort of trail. I followed it. I felt really bad and hurried myself to wherever the blood was going to lead me.
The restroom. Of course!
I opened the door of the restroom and saw Jungkook standing by the lavatory, washing his hands.
"Jungkook!" I said accusingly.
I got closer to him. The cuts were bleeding pretty badly.
"What?" he asked uninterested and a little annoyed.
"Don't just run off from your work! I was looking for you!"
"Oh well, excuse me while I just try to stop my hands from bleeding. Guess who's fault that is!" His eyes looked in mine intensely. Without looking away from him, I stopped the water from flowing. I then took his hands in mine and looked at them.
"What happened?"
"You pushed me out of the car, don't you remember?"
"Not that... now."
"You know boxes aren't exactly soft material. Nothing here is."
The cuts were deeper, it was still bleeding.
I sighed and dragged him out of the toilet.
"Yah! What the hell Chinsang! Are you totally heartless?! Let me take care of my bleeding hands!"
"Shut up", I hissed. I pulled him with me to the office in the beginning of the store.
"Yoona", I said to the girl. "Do you have any bandages?"
Yoona looked up at me and then at Jungkook. I showed her his hands. Her face immediately changed. It looked bad, that was obvious.
"What the hell did you do?"
"Ask her", Jungkook said grumpily.
Yoona now looked at me. I shrugged. "It was an accident."
Jungkook threw me this look, what secretly wanted to make me laugh, but I didn't show it.
"Alright then, come with me."
Yoona stood up and already walked over to the door in the back. Jungkook took some hesitant steps in the same direction, but then looked at me with a disgusted look on his face. I knew he wasn't directing that look towards me, but he wanted to let me know that he didn't want to go over there.
I laughed silently. "Come to me when you patch things up here."
