"I won fair and square, now give me my money," James demaned, holding his hand out to Remus.

"No, you said they'd get together by Christmas, I said Easter. It is Halloween, we both lost."

"So, both of you get eachother's money," I said grinning. Sirius chuckled slightly beside me and slung his arm around my shoulders. Was this really happening? I still kept thinking it was a dream and that I would wake up any second to find that Sirius really didn't love me and it was just wishful thinking.

James glared at me and exclaimed, "No, Remus has to give me five galleons!"

I shot him a disapointed look and asked, "Only five galleons? Shows how much you love me." Sirius snickered as James looked completely shocked. Lily came down the stairs to find the rest of us sitting in the common room.

"Heeeellllooooo Lily!" James said happily, grinning from ear to ear. She raised and eyebrow at him, but didn't say anything in return. Lily looked quite subdued, not her usual happy, perky self.

I glanced at Sirius before standing up from the couch. "Hey, Lils...can I talk to you for a sec?" The boys looked at us curiously, but I just ignored them. She nodded hesitantly and followed me up the stairs to the girls' dorm. "What's wrong?"

She heaved a sigh before saying quietly, "Severus was being really rude to me yesterday."

"What was he doing?"

"Just...you know...saying mean things and stuff."

I smiled sympathetically at her and said quietly, "I know what'll make you feel better." Aw, this was gonna be good. Of course, I might be on the receiving end of one of Lily's hexes, but this would be worth it.

"What?"

"A good ol' fashioned snog from my dear pal James!" I shouted at the top of my voice. Lily's face was slowing turning red with embarassment, and possibly anger...at me.

"Must you be so immature?" she snapped, which just made my smirk grow even bigger. See, I have never, ever missed a chance to tease Lily about her relationship with James, the whole thing just cracks me up every time.

"It's both a gift and a curse," I replied cheekily before bouding down the stairs. I just hope she doesn't catch me before I get to the boys.

The boys, excluding Peter who seemed to be missing for some odd reason, were all sitting on the floor laughing when I came down the stairs. "Sirius, if you want me to live, I suggest you hide me right now!" I exclaimed, glancing back up the stairs where Lily's stomps could be heard getting louder and louder.

He grinned and said, "My pleasure. Get under the table."

"That's the best you can come up with?" I scoffed, but crawled under it anyways. Ah, you damn clever boy. Sirius just draped his cloak over the table so I couldn't be seen. And the best part, it looked like it had been there the whole time, so Lily wouldn't notice.

"Where is she?" I heard a fuming Lily ask.

James' voice sounded quite close to the table actually, "I dunno." Heh, James was probably grinning like an insane person.

I could picture the sceptical glare Lily was probably throwing at James. "When I find that girl she is dead meat." Uh oh, Lily is seriously (haha) pissed at me right now. That's never good, even though it wasn't as bad as some of the things I've said before. Like this one time, James got sick and was in the Hospital Wing. Naturally, Lily was rambling on and on about how nice it was to have some peace and quiet. Though, I ruined the whole thing for her by telling her that the only reason James was in the Hospital Wing was because he was lovesick. That didn't go over too well.
