Chapter 22: Game Changer

After a few pictures Nathan led me outside where the Mustang was waiting.

"No way. We're bringing that?" I asked shocked and delighted.

"Of course," he smiled, "its a special occasion right?"

My mom just gaped at the very very beautiful car. We waved our goodbyes and she wished us well. We got in the car quickly since the snow was falling fast. We drove to school in an anxious silence. As soon as we reached school Nathan looked at me.

"Are you ready?" He asked

I nodded and Nathan reached for my face and gave me a quick kiss.

"You're beautiful don't worry." He smiled.

And just like the gentleman he is he got out of the car and opened my door. I just shook my head blushing as we walked towards the gym.

People were lined up outside. Us being a tad bit late went to the back. Apparently there was well a procession or something where we just walk in with the cameras flashing. I fidgeted nervously. Luckily the gym was inside the building. Otherwise we would have been all well dressed popsicle sticks.

"Crap Nathan i feel sick waiting." I complained as we were one couple away from the entrance.

He smiled and said "Hey, don't worry. Ill be there."

I nodded and as the doors open to recieve us i held on tight to Nathan's hand and walked. The inside was decorated as a miniature snow forest. The floor was rolled up in white vinyl. A few trees stood in random places. It was quite nice actually. The caneras were flashing and one broadcasted a live feed. I looked at the screen and found a beautiful creature with striking violet eyes walking hand in hand with someone just as beautiful. It felt that the room was silent as we walked in as i admitting royalty. The silence was only broken when our group of friends specifically Embi when he shouted "YEAH THOSE ARE MY IDOLS WOOOOH" the walk was only a couple of feet but it felt like hours. After Embi shouted that our group of friends started to clap and soon everyone was cheering. As we reached the end we headed to our friends.

"That was amazing." Embi said

"You guys are so cute together." Karylle giggled.

"Nathan... Seems like you do look good in tux." Meinand said

We all laughed at that and Nathan just gave a rueful smile.

"Ladies and gentlemen. This would be a quick announcement. Enjoy yourselves tonight and take care." The principal said.

We clapped and cheered. Our group of friends headed for one of the tables under a tree. We chatted for hours on end. 10 became 11 and soon became 30 minutes till midnight.

"Shall i have this dance?" Nathan asked smiling as the song Crazier by Taylor Swift played.

I returned the smile and said "Why ever not?" We headed to the dance floor. People were dancing there too couples to be exact. But i felt that everyone was watching us. Our friends were smiling among themselves looking at us like a show. But all of those didn't matter to me. All that mattered was Nathan. In that moment when he placed his hand in my hips and my hand, and i placed my on his shoulder. I knew that i truly and deeply loved him. He was like the air to me, life giving and pure. He was a part of mei couldn't live without.

"Nathan?"

"Yeah?"

"Will you make happy for the rest of my life? Will you be the man who will support me? Will you love me until the end?"

"I will Mary. I will be everything you would ever need I would..."

His sentence was cut short when my lips met his. I was ready. He was mine and i was his. He stole my heart and i stole his. We were each other.
