Happy Halloween!  I was really trying not to make this like a filler but I don't know.  I hope you enjoy this chapter.  Remember that I have no editor of my own and my own editing skills aren't that good.

Thinking on the past few weeks I knew that a lot has changed.  For the past few weeks I had been hanging around with Fritz.  On the weekdays he would sometimes come pick me up after school and we always hung out on Saturdays.  Saturdays were our 'Experience The World' days.  So far I had eaten at Whataburger, shopped at Wal-Mart, and went swimming at the public pool.

"Hey are you paying attention!"

I snapped my head towards the intrusion and smiled at Chace.  He saw Fritz joke about me being his new best friend and he got a little jealous.  I figured that he would want a whole day with just Fritz but I was shocked when he wanted to hang out with only me instead.  And even though it was a Saturday Fritz  had plans with his parents the first half of the day.

"This is too hard!"  Chace yells.

When I had asked Chace what we were going to do when I came over he just pulled me in and handed me a pen.  So now we were sitting around learning Morse Code.  I had told him at the football game a few weeks back that this was what I was learning.  I didn't want to tell him that I had learned this a few days ago.  So I pretended that I was learning with him.

"We've been doing this for hours and you seemed to have got it."  He mumbled, looking down at his pen like that was the problem.

A giggle had us turning to the side.  Sitting next to us was Chace's mom Carrel.  "I think I got it down." She told us.

Chace groans in defeat at that, "Even my mother has got it!"  He then becomes a drama queen and starts rolling around on the living room floor.

Carrel puts down her pen, "How about I make tea and we can take a break."

I nod in acceptance seeing as how Chace was being weird.  As soon as she leaves Chace is back up and just looking at me.

"What" I say cautiously.

"You don't mind that my mothers been with us this whole time?"

I shake my head. "Of course not. She's just like my mum. I'm used to weird parent behavior."

It was true that Chace's parents were just like mine.  I feel like if they ever did meet then they would be the four best friends.  Even Chace's dad wanted to join us but he was called in at work.

"That's good to hear.  I wish all parents were as nice as ours."  Chace mutters, getting serious.

"Are they not?"  Chace's parents were the only other parents I had met.  Well I did have a cousin and his parents were related to me so I didn't know if I should count them.

He laughed, "I forget that you know nothing." Just as I'm about to take offense he keeps talking, "Take Fritz's parents for example.  His mother worries about everything when it comes to her son and his dad is cold.  I think he wishes Fritz wasn't born sometimes."

I don't know what to say so I don't say anything at all.

"He's been hanging around with you a lot.  He told me that his parents wanted to meet you today.  That's why I asked you to spend the day with me. So that you would have plans. Fritz kept thanking me for that."

I didn't know if I should feel thankful or just hurt that he didn't really want to spend the day with me.  He was just doing it for Fritz.

"So you didn't do it because you feel threatened about me taking your best friend?" I joked.
