"Hey Luna, what d'ya think it's like a daytime?"

"Oh I don't know," I mumbled thoughtfully. "Is it bright?"

Lydia nodded, then giggled when I shivered at the thought of the sun.

"And it's warm too, except in winter. All the birds are out, and it's super lively with all the people," she chimed.

I tapped my chin. "Does lively mean noisy in the afterlife?"

She laughed and tried to shove me, but flew right through me, resulting in even more laughter ringing through the warehouse .

"Hey, do ya think that Carmi is back from the mall?"

"Maybe," I shrugged.

A squeal errupted a few blocks away from the quiet warehouse.

Lydia floated to the door, and tried to open the door, but went right through.

"Eeek!!"

Laughing, I unlocked the door and opened it.

Carmi danced around with shopping bags swinging. "Hehe!" She promptly ran upstairs to her room.

Osaku followed behind, rolling her eyes. I giggled remembering Carmi's many bags, and Osaku's one.

"Meeeeeow!"

"Nicoooooo hold still! If you wanna wear this collar..."

"Hsssssss"

"Nico! You pushed it towards me! And chose it!"

I walked up the stairs to the attic. I saw Carmi and her black cat Nico in what looked like a paw-to-fist fight.

Carmi was clutching a spiked collar with a bat-charm. Nico had his teeth around it as well.

"Well, I-" Carmi began, but she weakened her grip on the collar as she spoke. Nico snatched the collar and bolted downstairs.

"Nico!" the 14-year-old demon yelled.

Osaku laughed as she came up the stairs, craddling Nico as he nuzzled in her Aeropostale tee. I giggled as Lydia came in beside her.

And Nico landed and proudly displayed the tie as it glimmered against his black fur.
