Luna's POV
I loved Jaito. I really did. I never admitted it, but I did. Maybe I still do.
But last night... You can't just forgive someone for something they kept a secret from you for sixteen years.
Darian looked scared. He really didn't know. He said he only wanted to show us that Jaito was weak.
Anyone with angel wings can't be weak.
Surara proved a point though. The six of us need each other. Without one, we fall apart.
Carmi didn't speak at all though. I imagined this was all a strange dream to her, but it was for me too.
"Why are we even here?" Darian spoke my mind.
Osaku sighed, but quietly explained:
"You may have noticed... I'm blind."
We were shocked, but that explained why her eyes almost never moved. She'd blink, and stuff, but other than that I never knew.
"But I can see into the future," she continued. "Sometimes they just come to me like inspiration. Other times I have dreams. And the dreams are the strongest.
"Well... Surara had the same dream I did. And it wasn't a good dream...
"We were all hurt somehow... I wasn't even there. We were all crying and angry and had multiple injuries, some worse than others.
"But Sura dreaming of you, when she's never seen you and only heard about you... that's a sign. And we have to run... something is coming for us. I don't know what, but its coming."
By then our group had reached the city, and decided to search for a way to get money.
Carmi would have to wear a hat to hide her horns, I would have to hide my fangs somehow, and Surara...
"How do I enter a city like this?" Her skin was bright blue, and in a big city that's like trying to hide a T-Rex from a mob of a thousand people.
"I know," reassured Jaito. He spinned the dial on her bracelet that matched a necklace he wore under his shirt.
Instantly she disappeared. "Oh," the air said. "heh, I forgot."
