Carmi's POV

"Jaito?" I said in the phone.

"You have reached, 'Jaito.' At the tone, please record your message. BEEP."

"Uh, hi Jaito... Its Carmi, and I thought you could urm... come over or something? ... Okay bye."

"Why were you like that?"

"Huh?" I spun on my heel, but nothing was in my room.

"Oh well." I turned on the TV, but was interrupted by a loud clang in the armour aka my personal pantry.

"W-Who's there?" I stretched the control in front of me like a sword, ready to swing.

Click, "Nah," Click, "Seen it," Click, "Here we are!"

"Wha??" I squeaked. I wasn't changing the channels, and Lydia wouldn't dare prank me at a time like this.

"No, George already proposed to Marie! Don't listen to him, Freida!!"

A boring old soap opera was on, but I hated those- why would I be watching that?

Then I realized something.

The smell of donuts. Another sniff- Kruellers. Nico's favorite.

I approached the couch cautiously, and peered over the edge.

A small black blob was munching on a donut. He looked up at me. "Sup."

I screamed and fell backward.

"Ohmigod! Are you okay Carmi?"

The creature floated above the sofa, and looked deeply at me, with the same concerned look my tiny warrior had whenever I was hurt.

"N-Nico...?"

"Yes?"

The black blob smiled and nuzzled against me.

"You're okay!?"

"Yes," he smiled as I hugged him. "Yes."
