Percy Jackson and the Time-Traveling Alien

Chapter 2

'Do you believe in mythology, Pond?' the Doctor asked.

'Mythology? You mean those gods and monsters stuff?' Amelia Pond replied with disinterest as she was busy in her phone, texting Rory.

'Exactly, gods and monsters, perfect term for them, do you believe in it?'

'Well I don't think I'm gonna have any choice other than believing in them if you are taking us there?' said Amy finally looking up from her phone, 'I thought we were chasing that alien. What, have you finally given up on helping creatures that are last of their kind? Because I haven't'

'Great, so you are gonna meet both now, if my TARDIS is correct, which it always is'

'Wait, What? Both? Are we going back for Rory?'

'No, Amy. I'm taking about Greek mythology AND the alien'

Amy put on her jacket and checked her hair. She was quite excited for this; hopefully she would get to meet Achilles or Hercules or some famous demi-god. She always liked when they visited some famous person, she wondered how could she would have been in history if only she had started traveling before college. She could actually go to the past site and analyze them in person.

The Doctor came out of the corridor after some time with a deadly looking flamethrower kind of weapon; he was pushing buttons on it which was resulting in explosion of screeching noises.

'Agh, what is that? I thought we were going to meet Greek heroes, don't you think taking that to them will be ... '

'It is to save them. This thing will produce sound waves with a frequency that will stun the Angard  for a few hours' Doctor informed.

'Ok, as long as I get to learn fencing from Odysseys'.

The Doctor smiled at Amy and said 'I don't think that's exactly where we are going; the alien we tracked down went towards the Camp Half-blood hill, I'm gonna have to break my promise to Zeus'

'What?'

'Nothing, just wait and see, you are really gonna like it'

Amy opened the TARDIS door as Doctor was busy handling his machine in one hand the screwdriver in another. They had landed in a forest; the doctor had said something about a hill; so they were probably on that. Everything looked normal, Amy could hear the rush of running water from a river nearby; as she looked around she saw two teenagers wearing orange t-shirt looking at her in shocked expressions.

The dark haired boy on the right was holding a long sword slowly changing his look of shock into what seemed like annoyance; the girl however shook her head once, looked from Amy to TARDIS, towards Amy again. Her blonde hair was a mess, falling all over her shoulders from her bun and her gray eyes seemed to bore into Amy.

The Doctor was still standing at the door of TARDIS, fiddling with the machine, he looked up towards the forest, swept his gaze around 'Where the..', he saw the kids standing a few feet away from us, a smile spread across his face.

'Aha! Kids from the camp. I'm the Doctor, this is Amy. We come in peace, have you by any chance seen a really big eagle shaped dragon?'

They were replied with shocked silence. The dark haired boy stared at doctor and his sonic gun and the girl stared at the TARDIS with such an unblinking gaze Amy wondered whether leaving TARDIS in such an open place along with these kinds of campers was a good idea.

The boy was the first to speak, waving his sword in their direction, "Who are you? And how do you about the monster? Did you sent that monster kill the half-bloods at camp", the last sentence he said with such furious eyes Amy couldn't help but feel frightened. The girl hissed at the boy, clearly disapproving his lack of manners or maybe his unguarded tongue for giving us information, but he hasn't clearly said anything useful, not anything Amy could understand, some things about blood and camp, his sword looked scarier the more Amy looked at it. This kid was crazy and which stupid had decided to give the scary kid that scary sword Amy couldn't imagine. Doctor too seemed to think the same.

"How about you keep that sword away, Mr......?' Doctor asked with his most polite voice but Amy could see him getting angry.

'None of your business', the boy snapped, making Amy more furious than ever.

"Ok, Sword-boy. No problem. I'm here to help you guys. I know your director Mr. Chiron. I'd have spoken to him first but I think the situation is urgent. I believe you have seen the creature? "

"Yes, we have. It went towards the town. I'm assuming you are here to help us", the blonde girl replied.

"Yes, yes, of course. As soon as I get this machine working properly without making us all deaf"

"Your machine.." the girl started but was interrupted by that annoying boy again.

"Annabeth, we gotta kill that monster before it's too late, we can't waste time doing.."

"Annabeth!! What a lovely name." the doctor announced with still fiddling with the machine.

"Doctor" Amy warned, she was worried at the boys casual way of saying 'Kill the monster' as if it was his part-time job. She also didn't like the fact they were being interrogated by two stupid kids when she was hoping to see Achilles or Hercules.

The doctor finally understood what Amy was trying to say, "Wait. Did you just 'kill'?"

"Monster too" Amy added.

"I know Pond, but they are Greek, everything looks like a Monster to them, wait till you see where they live and how they eat." the doctor added facing the campers, "Look, when I say help, I mean to peacefully neutralize the thread".

The camper boy gave a short laugh, "Well, good luck with that. But i.."

Before he could finish they all heard the cry of the alien Amy and Doctor were chasing, it was long and haunting and it was getting closer and closer.

"No, No. It's not ready yet" said the doctor, pushing important looking buttons on his sonic gun so hard, Amy was afraid they would come out.

"Doctor, what are we gonna do?" Amy asked.

"It's coming right at us." The blonde haired girl informed, Amy couldn't decipher how she knew that exactly but the Doctor seems to understand, his face suddenly paled and he started running towards the TARDIS.

"Where are you going?" Amy shouted running towards the Doctor.

"Of course it's coming right at us, it is attracted to the energy waves from the TARDIS, and we gotta send the TARDIS away from here before.." the Doctor trailer off.

Amy followed the Doctor into the TARDIS and instantly felt safe and home, TARDIS was the safest place in the universe but then she thought about the Campers, the grumpy boy and the Annabeth girl, she turned and got a look at the scene outside, the boy was walking towards the Alien, his sword held aloft.

Amy finally knew that these kids were the Greek Demigods because no other community of humans had the guts to face such a big and scary alien alone with nothing more than a metal sword other than the Greek
