FriggaHeavy is the head that holds the crown, don't let the greatness get you down.
Odin had already sent Loki away with three burly guards into the dungeons to await the decision of his punishment. Charlie, Thelia, along with The Warrior's Three, Heimdall, Thor, and Frigga were all in attandance, all were standing grim faced and internally fearing Loki's execution as the worst probable option - though this was largely on Frigga, Charlie, and Thor's behalf, as the rest strongly believed he deserved it, if not a penalty for betraying Asgard.
The King's features were hardened, his posture corrugated. Admittedly, Frigga understood that he hated what his 'son' had done, and the senseless reasons behind why Loki had become what he is, he struggled to bare the thought of having to place condemnation on a person he came to think of as his own flesh and blood, as a would-be stratagist to the Warrior's Three, and possibly a great Prince destined for even greater things pertaining to the future of Asgard and the nine realms. This made it no less easier to stand by and watch their son - her son, be judged for crimes that no person with even an ounce of humanity left would dream of doing.
You were always running to catch up as a child, my Colitur, with Thor right at your heels to protect you when you lost your way. Perhaps I am most at fault, I should have spent more time teaching you to stand your own ground without magic. But, pray tell, who will protect you now?
Frigga had felt an indescribable amount of emotions upon hearing of Loki's return, only to have it all crash down the minute she was told of the allegations against him and that they were true. The lies. The lies were the worst part, knowing that he planned this for so long and not seeing the subtle signs to begin with... signs that implied Loki's decent into madness.
What kind of mother does that make me?

"Perhaps the foundation of his madness did not impel from his will alone, the Chituari were said to have tortured him a great deal. When I found him, I should have not taken no for answer." Frigga suggested. She and Odin were gathered that morning in the King's chambers to discuss Loki's impending trial. She could not imagine the pain and bitterness Loki must have endured during his torture, alone and deprived of any familiar contact he once longed for.
"Frigga, you know just as well as I that it is his choice in the matter. He chose to act purely on malicious intent toward the mortals, regardless of torture, it does not justify anything he has done in such short time." He knew he spoke in a patronizing tone, but he wanted to ease her worried mind.
"I know! You think I haven't considered every possible detail?"
Frigga was losing her patience by the minute, rarely did she do so, and began wringing her hands - her brows drawn tight together with tension. Odin looked at his Queen, eyes softening at the thought of the many years between them, the years that could never prepare them for this.
"I suppose the one bit I am having trouble grasping is...was our love not enough?"
Odin sighed, mentally steeling himself for the day yet to be, and convinced that his heart could bear another scar. He turned to her, caressing her cheek and placing a gentle kiss on her forehead.
"Svass, I believe my love was too little too late."
