A New Start

Chapter 5: The party

Claire had went dress shopping with her mom three days ago, and she found a really cute dress, it was a medium blue with bling at the top. She loved the dress the first time she tried on, her mom was really happy about Claire going to the party with her dad tomorrow. After Claire went dress shopping, she went to the spa to get a manicure and pedicure, and after that she went to the hair salon to get a new style, Claire wanted to look her best for the party.
"Claire, it's dinner time" said her mom
"Ok, mom, I'll be there in a minute"
"You better hurry, Claire, before it's gone, I made your favorite dish"

Claire ran out of her room, to the dinner table, she was starving and ready to eat, when her dad got there, he had a box in his hand, and he sat down at the table, he was ready to eat.

"Claire, I got a surprise for you, it's in the box" said her dad
Her dad handed the box to her
"What's in it, dad?"
"Just open it and see for yourself"
Claire had opened the box and she looked inside and said " I love them, they are really pretty"
Claire took what inside of the box out and there was a diamond necklace and a pair of diamond earrings.

When dinner was over, Claire went to her room and put her new jewelry items in a secret box, she had hid in her closet and carefully put the jewelry in there so she could wear them tomorrow  to the party and after that she took her a shower and put on her pajamas and went to sleep, so she would be well rested for the party for she needed to make herself look perfect.

It was finally time for Claire to wake up, as her alarm clock woke her up, when she finally woke up, the first she did was take her a shower and changed into a pair of everyday clothes and went down stairs to eat breakfast, and after eating her breakfast, and went up stairs to start fixing her hair, the party don't start till 7:00 but her ad wanted to there at 6:00, her dad wanted to introduce her to his boss.

After spending 2 hours fixing her hair, Claire decided it was time to put in her dress, there was 3 hours left till she had to leave, after putting on her dress, it was time to do her makeup, which she spent 40 minutes doing her makeup, then she put on the diamond necklace and the diamond earrings her dad got her, and it was time to go, Claire almost forgot to get her phone until she walked out her door and turned around to get it, and it was a long drive to get to his boss's house and they finally got there.
"Claire, I want to introduce you to my boss and his two kids, then you can enjoy the party" said her dad
"Ok, dad"
When they first walked in the door there stood her dads boss and his two kids, one on each side.
"Well hello, Mr. Clark" said her dads boss
"Hello, Mr. Thompson, this is my daughter, Claire" said her dad
"Let me introduce you to my boys"
Zack was on the left, he had brown hair, blue eyes and he played basketball and baseball, Cody was on the left, he had blonde hair, with green eyes, and he also played basketball and baseball, Cody looked athletic, he had abs and was muscular, Zack didn't look like he played sports, he was skinny with very little muscle.
