Alex's POV

"My body needs a hero. Come and save me. Something tells me you know how to save me!" I reached my hands to my head and I rinsed the shampoo out of my hair. "Make me come alive! Come on and turn me on! Touch me! Save my life! Come on and turn me on!" I sang Nicki Minaj at the top of my lungs. I finished my shower, turning off the hot water.

I pulled back the curtain, stepping out into my bathroom. I shivered as the cool air touched my entire body. I grabbed a towel and wrapped it around my waist. I wiped fog off the mirror, excessing a reflection of myself. I sighed, grabbing my colonge from the counter and spraying it all over myself.

I hummed the tune to 'Turn Me On' as I brushed my teeth and styled my damp hair. "Alex! Get out of the bathroom! I have to get ready" Andrew yelled from behind the bathroom door. I huffed, unlocking the door and letting him in. He walked in, tilting his head up in the air. "It smells good in here," he stated.

I chuckled, "That would be me." Hey, at least I know it smells good.

"Ah," Andrew smiled, "And what are you getting ready for?" He waggled his eye brows.

I rolled my eyes, "I'm going to the movies with Ali."

He nodded, "I see. Well, have fun!" I flashed him a quick smile before exiting the bathroom and heading to my room. I shut the door, locking it in the process. I walked over to my closet, examining the many shirts I had hanging up. I picked out a blue plaid shirt, black jeans, black jordans, and a beanie.

Once I was dressed and finished checking myself out, I made my way downstairs. Entering the kitchen, I heard the patter of rain against the roof. "What are you all dressed up for?" My mother asked.

"I'm taking Ali to the movies," I responded. My mom smiled and gave me a look of awe and approval. "What?" I asked, chuckling.

"Nothing, it's just, I always knew you loved her. And we always knew how she felt about you, even if she didn't. I'm just happy you're finally together and happy," My mother cooed, smiling widely at me.

"Who said I loved her?" I resented, crossing my arms over my chest.

My mother laughed, "You do, sweetheart. I see it when you talk to her and when you're with her. Even if you don't realize it now, you will. Well, maybe you already have you're just too embarassed to admit it." My face flushed. "But please, Alex, don't do anything dumb. You'll regret it."

I gulped, immediantly reminding myself of what I did a month ago. Hate to break it to you, Mom, but I already did something extremely stupid. I nodded meekly and my mother squinted her eyes, examining me. I turned around quickly and headed for the living room. The doorbell rang and I jumped a bit but quickly gathered myself and headed for the door.

I pulled open the door only to find Payton standing out there, drenching herself in the rain. "Payton, what are you doing!? Come inside!" I yelled. She shook her head, keeping her gaze down.

"Alex, I need to talk to you," She muttered. She lifted her head, revealing her tear-stained cheeks. She took a deep breath as more tears streamed out of her red-tinted eyes. Her hair stuck to her face as she took deep, heavy breaths.

I shut the door behind me, stepping out onto our front steps with her in front of me. "Payton, what's wrong?" I asked, trying to sound as calm as possible.
