"Can I have some money?"
"Haven't got any"
"You must have some, I'll get your purse"
"Fine, here's a tenner."

Typical conversation between a teenage daughter and her mother, right?  Well mum's the one asking for money.  She would have enough money if she didn't take drugs, smoke all day and drink constantly.  But that eats away all hers and she takes mine that I get occasionally when I am allowed out to go to the local shop and work a couple of hours.  Minimal pay, but it means I'm allowed to step foot outside and actually do something.

Today couldn't have gone any worse.  At 10 o'clock I was a quarter way through my favorite lesson, music.  Playing the drums in a practice room and listening to music.  A girl named Jenny plays the old piano along to it and for once, I feel like I have a friend.

Until I get a note saying to go to the office immediately.  I wedge the drumsticks into my trouser pockets and sling my bag over my shoulder.  My mind racing through what could've happened.  Although the thought of something bad happening to my mum isn't the worst I could imagine, what would that mean for me.  I'm deffinately overthinking.

But there she is in the office, waiting for me to show up, at least she had put tracksuit bottoms on and a shirt without too many stains.  The receptionist shoots me a weak smile, I had been in her medical room a few too many times for her not to be concerned, as I'm whisked away.

Following her into the house, I stand three paces away as she hurries to the edge of the main room, panicked.

"The computer wont turn on."

I'm so angry, i can feel my face getting a darker shade of red as mum stands behind me watching me press the power button and the laptop flickers into life.
"You have to hold the button down"  I say to her, my voice filling with anger.  I push my teeth closer together as I felt the anger could just spill out of me.

"Can I go back to school?"  I say after a sigh to calm myself down.
"NO"  She snaps quickly.  "I'm not taking you back, go to your room"  I did as she said and as I'm walking up the stairs I hear her mutter;  "Bloody kid, only good for one thing."

Which brings me to now, me laying on my bed, not listening to music, not watching anything.  just laying there.  She's just left after taking my money, I don't know where she's gone or what she'll spend it on, but I know it won't be on anything useful

As the sun continues to rotate around us I watch as the little box of light reflected on my door moves upwards.  As it hits each individual groove it reflects off in a different direction and creates another line on a different wall of my room.

As it gets higher it crosses the path of my bed and I can see the silhouette of my upper body on the door created my shade.  The sun's bright today so i decide to go and sit on the roof.  It isn't shaded but there's a nice cool breeze.  Not to strong to mess up my blue hair that is shaped into a quiff.  But strong enough to make the high temperature bearable.

I sit there for about half an hour just thinking.  I'm not thinking of anything in particular but time seems to pass quickly.  The gentle breeze calming and the sun allowing me to shut my eyes and sit in comfort.

"EEEKKKKKK!"  I almost fall off the roof!  I look over to my window and nothing has changed.  I can still see the white door in my room and the wall that surrounds it covered in posters.  Then I look the other way, their window, it's open!  Even when the old lady lived there she never used to open any windows.  There was a rumor around our village that she was a witch because no-one ever saw her at the shops, and her fire was always on.  Stupid, I know.

There's no movement for a minute, but i still stare at the window, that is open almost fully.  It is identical to the one on my bedroom, small and long but just big enough to climb through.  Then as I study the window out comes a leg.  It is tanned, not like my thin pale legs.  It also has muscle and looks like a dancers legs.

Then another one follows, the same perfect shade, not fake tan, natural, and beautiful.  This one has a ankle bracelet on, brown and beaded, like something you would expect to wear in a tropical country.  It matched the legs perfectly, her sandal covered shoes brushed the roof as she landed instead of landing on it, and her knees bend slightly.

The rest of her body follows, it curves around the sharp corners of the walls elegantly and gracefully.  Then I get to see her close up.  She's so tall, unlike me she has a tall figure, her hair reaching her hip is still gently swaying from the movement she just made.  She doesn't notice me at first, she just looks around her.  As she sees the fields at the back of the house, her pink lips grown into a beautiful smile, her smile makes the corners of my mouth turn up too, the innocence and beauty of a girl admiring her surroundings makes me simultaneously in awe and extremely nervous

Then she sees me, it shocks her at first, well it would, wouldn't it?  A small, thin girl with blue hair sat on the corner of the roof staring at you while you look at the view.  We must stay there for about a minute, it seems like a lifetime just staring into each others eyes.  I have no idea what to say, I don't talk to people and I don't usually make a habit of scaring people on top of their roof.

I didn't scare her though.  Because as soon as she catches up with her eyes she snaps into action.  She slowly walks over to me, each footstep pressing carefully onto the tiles.  I continue to look into her eyes.  I don't show emotion, I don't know what emotion to show.
"Hey, I'm Cassandra, you can call me Cass"

Ok they finally met!!  Sorry I haven't updated in a while I've been with my grandparents.  Please vote, it means a lot and leave a little comment on what you think :)
