"YAAAAAAAAY! THAT'S MY BABY!" I cheered loudly, watching Izan Jones cross the graduation stage.

My baby was also valedictorian, so we all had to quiet down for his speech that he worked oh so hard on.

Momma Sheila and Walter was the last ones to stop cheering. I smiled, looking over at her as she laughed slightly.

Life was so good right now.
I couldn't ask for anything better.

Supportive and loving family, a beautiful best friend, my handsome boyfriend and a well paid job. Everyday I took out time to thank the Lord above because without him, non of this would be happening.
I was grateful.

Prayer is something that'll take you a long way. 1 Chronicles 16:11 says, "Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always."

There's nothing you could do without the Jehovah Jireh even if you tried. It's impossible. He always finds a way to get you back onto your feet.

I know he did it for me.

"Jamie, take out the cam corder and record the speech. My phone about to die."

She nodded, fumbling around in her big ass purse. "I told you about hauling that big ass backpack everywhere!"

Jamie flicked me off, rolling her eyes as she took out the cam recorder.

"Jamie and Alessia.... please be quiet."  My momma said, glaring at us.

"Yes momma." We said at the same time, quieting down.

My mom over time has become Jamie's mom, we've all just gotten that close. Jamie was raised by her dad, her mom walked out on her when she was 9 due to drugs.

I can't forget about Seth. Jamie's boyfriend, who has also became Izan's best friend.

Seth couldn't make it out to the graduation because his grandma was sent to the hospital, she's in critical condition.
I'm pretty sure he'll be able to make it to the dinner though.

Hopefully.

"Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, friends and family, teachers, students and most of all graduates of University California of Berkeley."

"It is an honor to speak to you on this special occasion. Alfred Lord Tennyson ended his poem "Ulysses" with the line "To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield." Indeed, we have done so. We are graduating today. One of the greatest achievements you could ever overcome. I would like to highlight some of the greatest achievements our class have achieved."

I teared up as he spoke of some of the important achievements. I looked over to see Jamie grabbing a Kleenex with the hand that wasn't holding the camera. She reached over dabbing my eyes. "Bitch I didn't beat your face for nothing."

I mean mugged her, laughing afterwards. I swear she gets on my everlasting nerves.

I smiled to myself. I was so proud of my baby. Words couldn't describe how happy I was and how happy I'll ever be.

"I will also be opening up my own studio starting up at the end of November. My label will be named Monroé Lights." Izan announced smiling brightly.

The whole family cheered crazily as Jamie looked over at me smirking.

More tears fell down my face as I stood up clapping.
