Alessia
It was 4:00 in the morning and Izan and I were up wide awake not knowing what to think."I have a sister on my dad's side."
Looking over at him, I sighed lowly.
I was now seeing a slight resemblance now that momma Sheila mentioned that Aliana was Izan's little sister.
"I cannot believe this." I whispered more to myself.
"I can't either man and the main thing that causes confusion is that she has her moms last name instead of Jones."
"That's true."
After a short pause, I began talking once again.
"Are you gonna talk to her?" I asked, hoping for the correct answer.
"Man, I don't know. I'm nervous to see her."
"It's crazy because I really remember hearing her name a lot, when I was younger."
"Baby, I really think you should come with me Wednesday just to talk to her if you have nothing else to do."
"Damn man, shit just really hitting me at once."
"Yeah, me too."
"So, why is she in a counseling/ mentoring session? Do you know what's up with her home life?" Izan asked, looking over at me.
"I don't. We haven't gotten to that point yet. I don't want to rush it, you know?"
Nodding, he agreed.
"I can't believe this man, feel like it's not even real at all. A little sister man? That I haven't known about for 17 years?"
Shaking my head was all I could do at this situation.
Momma Sheila never had told Izan about Aliana. She thought that they had moved on with their lives and that they were long gone out of the state.
"I wish I would've known sooner, I don't know what our bond is going to be like now."
Grabbing Izan's chin, I shook my head. "Don't be negative about it baby. Stay positive and just take this one step at a time."
"Everything will be okay. Everything will fall into place."
"I promise." Pecking my lips, he nodded.
"Thank you baby, I needed that. I need you to help and guide me throughout this because I honestly don't know what to think right now."
"I understand pooh, but just focus on the positive. That's all we can do right now."
______________"Damn, so Izan your little sister is in Alessia's mentoring class? She's 17 years old?" Jamie asked just as shocked as Seth.
I nodded, rubbing my hands over my head.
Last night, I went to sleep at 7:00AM. I just couldn't seem to fall asleep. My mind wasn't where it should've been.
"This some soap opera type shit." Seth inputted, focusing his attention back towards the football game.
"They favor each other too! I just believe she's mixed with something because she isn't fully black, plus her last name is Santiago." Alessia looked over at me.
"Have the same eyebrows, same nose." She continued, touching all over my face.
"So, you going up there with Alessia tomorrow?" Seth questioned, raising an eyebrow.
