Chapter 19

*3rd pov*

Its been about a week since Rose met Ares but with in that week she met Adonis.

In an awkward situation Anteros had to explain why and how they knew each other.

"He's my 'close' friend and technically adopted brother but we were together before that happened." Anteros tried to make the fact that Rose had caught them half naked and making out not awkward.

"...so how did the adoption thing happen?" She asked more curious than shocked.

"My mom, Aphrodite and Persephone were walking to wherever and we, me and Adonis ran into them. Immediately they loved him and wanted him for themselves so Persephone and my mom decided to share him so they adopted him and he went back and forth between the underworld and our house. He had enough and faked his death right in my mother's arms. So they don't know he's alive got all that?" Rose just nodded at his explanation.

"But what was that thing that happened when I walked in?" she asked confused.

"What thing?" Adonis asked from the other side of the couch.

"The liquid like thing it turn like gold or something at first it looked like what I saw with Eros and Psyche but less gross and more interesting." Rose leaned back into the couch and wondered.

"Oh is she talking about your energy feed? Dude have you told her anything?" Adonis asked shocked.

Rose looked between the both of them.

🌹Rose's pov🌹

Anteros bite his lip and I was distracted by his lip biting for a second.

"Well I guess I should tell her." Frustrated he ran his fingers through his soft black hair.

"Energy feed... Its when a God or Goddess takes a type of emotional energy from someone. For example say your Eros or me and yours hurt , wounded ect. Even thought we're immortal it takes the same amount of time for us to heal like a mortal but with energy you heal faster. Depending on your power base and 'house' you feed on one type of energy. Me and Eros feed on more then one though. We feed on love and lust." Anteros states casually.

"So do you feed off other gods and goddesses?" I questioned.

Shaking his head he looked back up at me.

"No we can't it only works on mortals and demigods." He shrugged.

"Oh." Was the only word I could manage while I collected my thoughts.

"Adonis can I try something out?" I looked at him as he flinched under my stare.

"Y-yeah?" He answered before looking at Anteros who shrugged.

"Promise me you won't move?" I step closer and he stiffened.

"Ok." He nodded.

The hairs on the back of my neck tingled and I stepped closer and my stomach tightened.

Taking a deep calming breath I reached out and touched his face.

I waited for a sickening feeling but it wasn't there.

"Are you a demigod Adonis?" I questioned out of curiosity.

"No but I've become immortal... Why?" He still didn't move at my touch.

"Hmm. So it's not that...maybe." I thought out loud as I paced the room.

"Love?" I bite my lip thinking harder as the boys looked at each other for an answer to my actions.

"What time is it?" I stopped remebering that the only college class I didn't leave was my dance degree and that I had it in about an hour.

I have been working from my phone so I didn't physical need to be there for work or my paycheck which covered about a quarter of the surgery for my mother.

I've cut most of my college classes and just been taking them online. But I couldn't take a online dance class so it's one of the two I kept.

"Anteros where did you put my car keys?" I asked looking around.

I was dress for class in yoga pants and a sports bra.

"Try the glass bowl." He stated as Adonis got up to leave.

"I see it, thanks." I announced.

Going to the frig and got out a lemon and unsweeted cranberry juice and lavender. Cuting slices of lemons I put it in the container part of my water bottle and put the lavender in to. Me a Shay both agreed that adding unsweet cranberry juice was the way to go. I added water and shook it up.

"What are you doing?" Anteros asked eating an apple behind me.

"Do sneak up on me like that lawd almost gave me a heart attack." I lectured.

"Ok princess sure." He teased.

"If you must know I'm making a summer spa. It's flavored water and it's healthy cleanses your body." I explain as I walk torwards the door.

"Well I'm actually curious on where your off to so I'm going to." He said in a matter of fact tone and put on his air nike.

"Sure just don't disturb the class." I teased.

"Haha me? I'd never." his voice full of warm sarcasm.

I drove and thought about what has happened to me and I relaxed feel Anteros was by my side.

There was still ten minutes before the actual class started and I could hear the professor playing his favorite song from up stairs. Even though he's english wasn't that great he loved Rihanna.

I walked in and there he was twerking again.

He was the best dance teacher I could ever have. Though he still twerks better then me sometimes.

Anteros started choking on air and I looked at him and laughed seeing his face red from ear to ear.

"Haha you ok Teros don't wanna have a nosebleed on the dance floor do we?" I said as playful banter.

"No wonder you could dance at the club." He commented.

I rolled my eyes and started practice.

I was going to have to ask him what he was doing at the club in the first place after my dance lessons.

I need a couple of answers.
