The room he dragged me to was dimmly lit with blue, yellow and white lights. The dark floor moved in little waves. Oh it was a pool not a floor. It reflected the lights and I stopped and stared.
"Can't believe you were engaged to that... I had higher expectations for you." I snapped back into reality, and my eyes went back to Anteros.
I opened my mouth to say something but nothing came out. My lips shut once again.
"So is she your real sister you to look...." He started off.
"Like total opposites I'm big she's skinny I rarely wear makeup and she looks like she baths in it...is that it?" I implied while interrupting him.
"No your beautiful... It's just you seem so distant." he stated not really looking at me.
A oddly comfortable silence hung in the air. I looked around trying to think of anything to change topic.
"Shit!..." Anteros started pulling something out of his pocket.
"Hey... Um so your birthday was a couple days ago sooo I got you a late gift." He told me to close my eyes I did after a seconds of hesitation.
He moved my hair to the side and I felt something placed on my neck.
"Ok open your eyes princess." a shiver went down my spine as he whisper into my ear.
I looked down and saw a simple rose gold apple necklace with a heart encrusted with diamonds.

"How did you know... I love golden apples and rose gold is my favorite!? How much did this cost you?" My eyes water because out of all the guys besides my close friends this is the nicest most romantic gesture ever.
Most guys took me out to eat which was fast food then they'd ditching me to 'hang out with the boys' yeah my birthday is cursed.
