"Well? Have you two learned your lesson? Next time, we won't let you off so easy."
Scott was seething with rage. The girls started to run away, but Scott stopped them. "Where do you think you're going?" He asked, his voice lowered to a menacing tone.
Sara was behind the girls, strings surrounding her and her eyes were already black with white pupils.
The girls grew nervous and backed away. "Guys! What's going on? Are you okay?" Mike asked as he and the others ran to Scott and Vincent. He saw their hair on the ground. "That hair..." Aiden turned to the girls. "You! I thought I made it perfectly clear! I don't want you harassing Vincent again! Do you understand?!" He shouted.
Sara glared at the girls.
"Listen here. You better not hurt Vincent again or else you're gonna regret ever messing with me or my friends!" Scott shouted.
"Now, get out of here... B E F O R E W E C H A N G E O U R M I N D S O N S P A R I N G Y O U. . ." Sara said, her voice almost sounded nightmarish.
The girls were shaking and ran away. "Tch, cowards..." Aiden said. "Are you okay, Vince?" Scott asked. Vincent nodded. "I'm a little shaken up, but I'm alright." He said. "C'mon, let's go home." Mike said.
The strings disappeared as Sara's eyes turned normal. Her legs began to go numb.
"Here. Let me carry you." Mike said, picking Sara up.
Sara blushed but nodded.
The others went back to Mike's house where Aiden checked Vincent and Scott's hair.
"The good news is it looks like we can cover it up. But that doesn't make it okay. I feel bad for you two." He said as Riley put his hand on his shoulder. "It will probably be better if you guys don't go out for a while. It's dangerous." Mike said. He looked down. "I'll never forgive them. We couldn't stop them today, but we won't let them do it again. No matter what happens, we'll protect you." He said.
Sara rested her head on Mike's shoulder.
Mike looked at Sara. "Sorry." He said and hugged her.
"It's alright..." Sara said.
Vincent rested his head on Scott's shoulder.
Sara slowly closed her eyes
"I'm sorry I didn't stop those girls." Scott said. "It's okay. What matters is that you were here to protect me." Vincent said. "But.... I didn't stop them from cutting your hair." Scott said, tears forming in his eyes. "It's alright. I don't care about that." Vincent said and held Scott's hand.
"Vincent is right, Scott. It's not your fault." Puppet said.
Scott sighed. "Hey. What happened to me is not your fault, like Puppet said. There's no need to stress out about this. I'm okay and that's all that matters." Vincent said. "Vince, I have every right to worry. Those girls could have done something more severe than just cut your hair. They could have severely hurt you or even killed you!" Scott said, putting his hand on his forehead. "Scott... I know. But, you protected me and that's all that matters. As long as you're here with me, everything will be okay." Vincent said. Scott sniffled and wiped a few tears from his eyes.
Puppet hugged Vincent and Scott.
Scott hugged back and let his tears stream down his face.
Meanwhile, Aiden was watching the whole thing and he gripped his arm tightly. "Dammit... I'm getting jealous again..." He thought. Vincent looked at Aiden and motioned him to come here. Aiden slowly nodded and hugged the three of them. "It's not your fault, Aiden. It's not your fault." Vincent said, stroking his hair.
