Act I:Phase IV: Boundless Potential

I've spent four years training here in the military, and Hayate has been sending me regards of Shu and Kanako. I miss them and I haven't been the best of friends with my cohorts. I an a captain of my own squadron, and some of them have huge firearms...not much variety of sword weilders.However there is one peculiar young woman who has been following me..though I haven't taken much thought to it. She wore a green lieutenant uniform, and had a purple streak of hair where bangs are at. I heard her last name is Kingspear, the last name of Connor..The Six Who Were There...

Many of my soldiers and I received a folder, for us to set out to a particular mission to the Xvenger base near the slums..Why would anyone go there? Nothing but rusty factories and poverty everywhere...I feel someone following me to my dorm...

"Stop following me..state your business."

"Ah it's nothing! Why don't cha face my way you grump!"

Kingspear....

"What do you want?"

"Just felt like we should talk a little ya know? It's so gloomy here.."

"War isn't supposed to be fun."

"So? I never said we were gonna fool around, I just wanna say..uh..tell me about yourself."

"Anything to get you to leave me alone.."

"So how old are ya?"

"19.."

Jessalyn keeps staring at me, I feel a little uneasy. But I know she means well, but she needs to keep serious if we are gonna win this war. Vermillion hasn't seen the last of me. I'll stop him, finish the war and find my village. Maybe find my brother too...

Jessalyn and I enter the squad room. Kiwi, Codax and Rose greet us.

We enter a terminal to escort us to a new mission and send our troops towards Vermillion's shadow army. We have to kill them all. But why? What would violence resort to? More bullshit to come after?

I march slowly and Jessalyn keeps following me, A see a smile spread across her face, I just mutter to myself and smile back..but a response begs to come out of my mouth.

As we walk I see Kyle. My best friend in the Military. He greets me like usual and man hugs me...which consist of a handshake and a spine breaking hug.

Jessalyn continues to walk, looking rather blue.. and her echoing footsteps appear faster.

I ignore it for a bit, but I'm well aware of her feelings..I look down on the marble floor.

Kyle looks at me.

"It is okay...come on, we have to deploy...Vermillion's mutants are running everywhere around a few villages..we have to kill them and collect data"

I nod and we run towards the exiting room, Jessalyn follows and I begin to feel more determined than ever. I just wanted answers from Vermillion...nothing more. Why? Why did he destroy my village?...

We deploy in Himen Square, a small ranch town...it was barren...I wander around since we all seperate..I walk into a house...my sword in hand...ready to strike.

A door creaks and I hear coughing and...gurgling...

My eyes widen.

A boy is crawling..blood surrounding his abdomen. Two adults.. assumably his parents lie farther away from where he is.

I rush to him and he holds my sleeve...

"You're....part of META Military?"

"Yes..."
