Miles' POV

I let out a sigh flipping through the script, how was I going to remember all of these words before the play is actually show to the public. It's been over a month since I was cast as Patrick. The play was in 2 weeks, prom was in two and half weeks. Time was flying by and I'm still trying to cling onto my last moments in high school. I've been accepted into my top choice college, I guess I can celebrate that.

We're having a dress rehearsal right now, and i'm tired as hell. I close the script tossing to the side letting out an even louder sigh. I'm going to ruin this play. "What did that script ever do to you?" I heard someone say , I turned around to see Kat looking at me with a confused look on her face.

"Nothing." I smiled. "Just having a tough time with my lines." I shrug and look away. She walks in front of me and gives me an encouraging smile.

"Come over tonight, we can practice lines." She said and I looked at her confused, for the past month, after we left the jail cell we haven't really spoken unless were acting. I nodded my head and then she walked away, just like that. I picked my script back up and looked at the lines for the scenes we would be doing today.

"Okay everyone places." Ms Raymond shouted. I quickly finished reading my last line and rushed to my place, we were doing the scene where Kat and Patrick go on their first date where they throw balloons at each other that are filled with paint.

"Action!" She yelled and we started the scene, it was pretty casual, but it was hard to act when every time I look at Kat I feel regret for hurting her. We soon got to the part where I have to tackle her into a big hay pile after she gets paint in my hair.

I look at Kat underneath me and I gently caress her face and look deep into her eyes, well at least that's what the script says. I lean in for a kiss and right when I can feel her breath on my lips..

"Cut!" Ms Raymond yells, "Kat, Miles here now." We both got up and walked off stage to where she was standing, she didn't look happy at all. "Where is your chemistry, wheres the sparkle in your eyes when you look at each other, it's all wrong!" She yelled and we widened our eyes at her taken aback at what she said.

"My eyes have never lit up while looking at him!" Kat said defensively, ouch that hurt. I won't deny the fact that that is quite possibly true.

"Don't even try to argue child your eyes burn with desire when you looked at Miles, I could see it, but now there's almost nothing, just a little flame that can easily be blown out." Okay I have come to the conclusion that Ms Raymond is insane.

"I picked you two as romantic lead roles because you have a romance between you that is so present when you preform, I need that back for this play." she said and I shrugged.

"Ms Raymond you can;t force Kat to like me again, I hurt her in more than one way and I don't deserve to put a sparkle in her eyes." I said and walked back onto the stage. Kat watched me confused for a second then followed me onto the stage.

"Okay lets start from the top people!"
