A.N.- Hello, and welcome to my first fan fiction!! I imagine the beginning will pass by quickly, but it will slow down eventually. I hope you enjoy, an I guess you may begin!!

It was a beautiful mid summer day in the kingdom of Camdifidilia. The forest was alive with the sweet songs of birds and the scampering of innocent little creatures from place to place. The royal family was enjoying the pleasant day as they sat in a small clearing under the shade of the tall oaks. Prince Mark, the youngest of the family, only at the age of 5, was running about in the clearing, under the watchful eye of a palace guard.

I ran about the clearing laughing as I watched a bird fly above me, springboarding the woods. I followed after it, eager to see were it was heading.
"Prince Mark! You shouldn't wander into the woods, it is dangerous!!"one of the guards called to me, making me look in their direction with a pout on my face. I was never allowed to go on adventures like the daring knights in my storybooks, because they were "too dangerous". I walked around the edge of the clearing for a bit, looking down at my boots as they trudged through the mud. I looked over my shoulder to see the guard chatting with my brother, Tom. I then saw a small bunny scamper away out of the corner of my eye, and I immediately smiled. I chased after it, hearing no one yell after me to stop. I ran as fast as I could, until the small thing hopped out of my sight. I stopped in my tracks, looking around to see were it went. After sitting there for a while, I sighed in defeat and started to walk forward, looking for another cute little bunny. As I continued on my quest, I came upon a wall of rock. There was a small gap, big enough for me to fit through as my eyes light up- a new adventure! I easily went through the gap and I found myself in a decent sized cove. I looked around in wonder, it was a small, secluded part of the large beach near the castle. But, the one thing that caught my eye was a boy sitting on a rock in the middle of the water, staring at me in shock. He had the most peculiar hair, short at the sides, but longer on top colored neon green. The strange boy quickly scooted off the rock and looked as if he was about to leave into the water.
"WAIT!! Don't go, who are you? I'm sorry for intruding, but would you stay, I've never seen such weird hair before, where are you from? Please stay and chat with me!" I called out to him, as he looked over his shoulder, eyeing me.
"I-I don't think I should." He called out to me. His voice was slightly higher pitched than mine, with a funky accent.
"Oh, but could you please? I am Prince Mark, would you like to be my friend?" I reached my hand out to him, my brown eyes pleading to his bright blue ones. He turned to face me, considering my offer before he hesitantly swam over, taking my hand and shaking it.
"My-my name is Sean, but you can call me Jack" he replied, stuttering at first but sounding confident when he finished. My eyes widened as I broke out into a bright smile, shaking hands with him.
"We're going to be best friends, Jack!!" As soon as I said that, I heard my older brother calling from over the wall of the cove
"Mark!?!" I sighed, turning my head to above the wall and then back to Jack.
"I gotta go now, but I want to see you again, how will I find you?" I looked at him, my face morphed into a puzzled look. Jack brought his hand to his chin, thinking before snapping his fingers and swimming over to the side of the rock wall that was just off shore. He grabbed a shell that was stuck in the wall and gave it to me.
"Here Mark, whenever you are in the cove and you want to see me, blow on this shell, and I'll defiantly hear it!" He replied, smiling up to me as I took the shell from him. I smiled at him once more, before standing up and walking to the gap I entered through.
"Okay, thanks Jack, I'll see you later, Bye bye!!" I called, waving to him as I walked back into the forest. I ran towards the sound of my brother calling for me, and I eventually found him.
"Mark!! Where were you? Don't ever do that again, you hear!! You scared mom and dad to death!!" He lectured me as we returned to the clearing, as I clutched the shell Jack gave me. I smiled as I thought of the new friend of mine, one I hoped to have for a while.
