~~I am very sorry for this delay, but last week some bad family issues happened, and I didn't have much time to write this because of that. There is also an important thing in the A.N. at the bottom, so if you don't normally read them, please do this time! Okay, this chapter was written on my phone, so I don't have my editing software to work on this, I apologize for my shit Grammer. I hope you enjoy!~~

Mark's P.O.V.

"Introducing, your royal highness, Prince Mark!” I heard the announcer call out to the room, allowing me to
have one last breath before I stepped out onto the stairs leading to the ballroom. I looked down
from the top of the stairs, flashing my famous smile as I looked down at my people. I hate the feeling of looking down at them, it always makes me seem so much bigger than I am. I waltzed down the stairs, and made my way to the floor. There were females all around me, all wearing
big gowns in a variety of colors, their hair all elegantly pulled back, and their faces powdered up to be unrecognizable. I smiled at all of them, before I made my way to the middle of the floor, where a delegate was waiting for me. She had requested to have my first dance, and I was relieved when she did. I always had to dance at least once every ball, and I hated picking a female from the crowd. Especially tonight, when most of the people in the room were females. I bowed to the delegate in front of me, not remembering her name at the moment. I took her hand and wrapped my arm around her waist as the music started. We danced across the floor gracefully moving around the floor to the stares of all the other females. The song soon came to and end and I bowed to her before we separated. Some of the men had already taken some of the lady's out to dance, and so I made my way to the side of the ballroom, with many of the females watching my every move. I smiled and nodded to some, leaving their faces flushed with big goofy grins. None of these girls were my type though, and my mind could help but wander to Jack as I waded through the dresses. I wish I had seen him this morning, but it was just too hard to take the time. I hated I wasn't able to meet him, and I had to do something to make it up to him. I turned through the crowd and my eyes widened in complete shock. Standing, STANDING in font of me, was a young man. He wore a deep green suit that stood out from the lightly colored dresses. His hair was a light brown, but it somehow had strands of grey in it, besides his young age. And his eyes, his eyes were amazing pools of every shade of blue, and I got the honour of looking into those eyes I had missed as he turned his perfect face towards me. He looked to me as I stared at him, and he gave me a small half smile. I found myself full on smiling as I looked at him, looked at my Jack, a human. I did everything I could to keep myself from sprinting to him, and I grabbed his hand
"I'm honoured you were able to make it, sir." I started to lead him away from the party as I used my pompous Prince voice, and I could tell Jack knew what I was doing. He just gave a small smile up to me and firmly squeezed my hand. I lead him out of the ballroom and down the hall until we made it to a closed off balcony. I opened the door, leading Jack in before shutting it and giving us some privacy. The moment I turned to Jack I broke my princely behavior and I rushed over to Jack.
"Oh my god!!! HOW IS THIS REAL!! You're a human!!" I squealed like a little girl as I pulled Jack into a back breaking hug, before I lifted him up and spun him around. He let out a chuckle as he was in the air, and I took a moment to look up at him, the moonlight illuminating his perfect features, and I couldn't help but stare.
"Mark?" Jack called out to me with a worried face as I smiled at him.
"Jack I love you so much right now... You are just... perfect." I softly replied, and he blushed immensely after I finished. I started to laugh at how adorable he was, Wich just made him blush more. I put him down before I gently grabbed his face and pulled him into a kiss, to Wich he immediately started to kiss back. It was slow and soft, and full of pure love. His arms were loosely around my neck and we just stood their for what felt like years in our perfect little world. We finally separated the kid, and I leaned my forehead against his and giggled like a little girl.
"What are you so happy about Markimoo?" Jack raised one of his eyebrows and questioned me with a devious smirk on his face.
"I'm kissing my Jackaboy who is human rights now... With human legs, in my castle..." I continued to giggle at this thought and Jack just rolled his eyes, his ever present smile stuck on his face.
"Well Mark, guess what?" Jack leaned in closer to me, his tone soft and serious as I looked deeply into his eyes.
"What?"
"Mark... I'm... A FIIIIIIISH!!" (My friend make this joke and requested it got put in) Jack blurted out in my face and ruined the moment. I gave him a blank stare as he started to laugh his head off.
"Alright, that's it out of my castle!" I pointed to the doors, trying my best not to smile. Jack laughed harder at this before trying to say words.
"M...Mark! C-c-c'mon buddy!!" He was laughing in between the words and I could let help but smile and laugh along with him. Our laughter soon died down and we were soon sitting on the floor, chatting about our day with our hands interlaced. We were like this for a while, until I heard the faint sound of the music from the ballroom. I stood up at that moment, pulling my hand out if Jack's grip, before offering a hand out to him
"Would you care to dance, sir?" I used a fake Prince voice with a goofy smile on my face Wich earned me a chuckle from Jack.
"I would love to but... I can barely walk properly Mark... I would-"
"Nonsense!! I will teach you, and you can rely on me while we are dancing, c'mon!!" I silenced Jack midsentence before pulling him up, and then putting my hand on his waist. I used my other hand to bring his hand on my shoulder, and I then liked hands with his other. I smiled before listening to the music and moving along with the flow. I lead Jack through the steps, him holding on tightly to my shoulder as we moved, but his grip slowly started to loosen as we continued to dance, I started to spin us around the balcony, Jack letting out a slight giggle as we did. Soon the song ended, and another one started up right after it.
"Mark, could we... Dance again?" Jack timidly asked, and I smiled at him in response. He was just so adorable, I loved him so much. I took his hand again as we moved to the music, it was slightly faster than last time. I let out a small giggle before I spun him out of my grip, and pulled him back to me in a spin. His back was now against my stomache as we swayed to the music, before I spun him out again a returned us to or original position. We continued to dance and spin, until I heard the music was quickly heading towards the end. I picked up the pace of our steps with the music, until the music ended suddenly, allowing me the perfect opportunity to dip Jack. We were both breathing heavily, the distant applause for the music now filling our ears. I looked down at Jack, the moonlight shining down on him, with his eyes shining up at mine. I found myself leaning down into he dip, slightly pulling Jack up in the process, as our faces got closer. Jack wrapped both his arms around my neck to hold himself up, and we kissed. We kissed as if the entire world was gone, and it was just up, sitting on that beautiful moonlight balcony. It was just us, until I needed to break this kiss to breath, and we came back to reality. I helped Jack up out of the dip and back onto him feet, and he had a goofy smile on his face.
"What is so hilarious to you, Mr. McLoughlin?" I raised an eyebrow as I used a slightly mocking tone. He looked to me before replying.
"I just danced with my prince boyfriend on a balcony during a ball... I just danced with human feet... With my boyfriend... Who is a prince... At a ball in his honour..." Jack continued to smile as he rested against the rails of the balcony. I chuckled before leaning next to him, pecking his cheek before speaking up.
"Yes, and I just shared a dance with my mermaid boyfriend, I think I'm the luckiest man on Earth. Remind me to thank Ira if I ever meet her." I looked to Jack, who's face was now lit up.
"You would LOVE Ira!! She is this crazy mermaid, but an awesome friend!! She is the only one that calls me Jack down there, and she acts like I'm just another merperson!! It is so much fun! I also get to help her with making potions, but I only make the simple ones, leaving time for Ira to focus on more complex ones. She helps me alot though, and sometimes I forget how much of a sorceress she really is!!" Jack ranted on, and I smiled and listened intently. Ira really did sound cool, the only person I have similar to that is...
"Oh! Jack! You need to meet someone!" I exclaimed, catching Jack off guard.
"Sure, where are they?" Jack giggled as I lead him to the side of the balcony. I hopped up onto the railing and leaned over to the vines on the side.
"Mark!! You're going to hurt yourself!!" Jack called out to me, reaching his hand out to grab my jacket.
"It's okay Jack, I do this every time I go to see you!" I smiled at him before I  climbed down the wall, and landed on the soft ground.
"Okay Jack, your turn!!" I called up to him, as he looked slightly scared.
"Mark, I could barely get he hang of walking, I don't think I can..." Jack trailed out of earshot and I called him back down to earth.
"Jack, you can just jump then! I promise I will catch you! It's a small jump from the seconf floor, it won't hurt!" I called up to Jack, trying to add comfort into my words. Jack turned back to look down at me a slight fear still set in his eyes. I knew it was from him not being accustomed to the land yet, still trying to adjust to the fact that he isn't floating in water.
"O... Okay Mark... Here I go..." Jack timidly called down, and sat on the railing. He brought his legs out and pushed off with his hands as he started to fall. I immediately ran underneath him and was able to quickly catch him, my arms slightly burning. I looked down at Jack, his eyes squinted shut, before I leaned down and gave him a peck on the forehead. He opened his eyes at that, looking up at me before flashing a big grin.
"Well, looks like you survived." I smiled down at him, making him look away in embarrassment.
"Oh shut up!" He growled playfully, and I chuckled before setting him down and grabbing his hand. I lead him around the castle to the back, with the wooden stable, and his eyes lit up realization.
"Is that were... Tim is?" Jack looked at me as if he were a little kid, excitement filling his voice. I nodded my head and his smiled brightened, before he let go of my hand and sprinted full on towards he stables. I let it a laugh before I ran after him, trying to catch up in case he fell over. He burst open the doors and I heard a loud neigh, giving me all the more reason to speed up my steps. I hurried to the doors to find Jack face to muzzle with Tim, looking up in shock.
"So, are you the little biscuit called Tim?" He asked with his accent rolling off his tounge, an all too familiar sound to Tim, causing his light blue eyes to light up and press his muzzle against Jack. Jack let out a laugh as he started to pet Tim, looking my best friend up and down, taking in the size of him.
"He is a big horse- based on the horses I have seen, that is..." Jack's voice reduced to a mumble as he continued to stroke Tim. I chuckled, walked over to Jack and reached my hand out to Tim as well.
"You know, Tim is normally a bitch to other people- besides me, you are probably the only person who hasn't been almost murdered by him!" I let out a small chuckle and Jack looked down, chuckling as well.
"Maybe it's because he knows my voice!" Jack proudly smirked, to which I quickly fought back with a witty reply.
"You are hella loud, I'm surprised no one has found us in the mornings yet."
"Shut up!!" We laughed in the stable, Tim sending me a glance along he lines of 'get a room's and I just gave him an evil smirk.
"Your highness! We have been looking for you! Please, the stable is not open at he moment, and I was told to ask you to please come back to the castle, your guests are looking for you." Big me and Jack had immediately straighted out of our slouches, before Jack realized he wasn't the prince being called.
"Oh, I'm sorry, yes, Come along, Sir McLoughlin." I activated my prince mode as I politely escorted Jack out of the stable and back to the castle.
"I like my Mark better..." I heard Jack mumble to himself, and I felt my heart soar higher. I lead Jack back to the party, secretly squeezing his hand before I entered the ballroom to go and chat with my guests, Jack always by my side.
