Jungkook looked up from his boots that were laid in his lap when Jimin finally came out of the bathroom. He had been unlacing and lacing his bootlaces, and was extremely disappointed that he hadn't thought about bringing a book like the others.
Jimin looked at Jungkook and smiled at him, but it didn't reach his eyes. Jungkook looked back at the clock.
15 minutes.
Fifteen minutes Jimin had been in there. He hadn't flushed either, and Jungkook didn't hear the faucet run. He trailed Jimin with his eyes as the older boy moved to his bed and pulled out a book himself.
Jungkook vowed to get to the bottom of this. For now he decided to sleep again, seeing as how they would be standing awake all night.

An alarm from someone's watch suddenly sounded from somewhere across the room, making Jungkook jolt awake.
No one said anything, just got dressed to go outside. Jungkook followed everyone's lead, glancing at the others' attire so he knew how to dress accordingly. He noticed his friends had all dressed themselves in their heavy duty clothes, so Jungkook did the same.
The group quickly left the room, but Jungkook was able to get a good look at the time before they left.
8:55 P.M.
The halls were silent except for group six which were just a little ways ahead of them. Everyone else was sleeping at this time, but Jungkook felt weirdly energized. Probably because he slept so much the past fourty-eight hours...
Jungkook found himself in the same hallway that he was in with Jimin earlier. Namjoon and Seokjin-who were at the head of the group-pushed open the doors at the end of the hallway.
As Jungkook and the others stepped out into the rapidly approaching night a wall of humidity and heat hit them. It was definitely better than earlier that day, but Jungkook didn't know if he could stand all night in these heavy, not to mention hot, clothes.
Suddenly everyone was in a straight line, all of them at attention. Jungkook scurried onto the end of the line, rolled his shoulders back, and stared straight ahead.
He heard boots crunching on gravel and was about to turn his head and look for the source, but stopped himself before he did something stupid.
Suddenly an officer appeared in Jungkook's field of vision. He was young, but his features had been hardened from years in the military.
"All right, losers." The officer addressed them all.
His emotions too, apparently.
"You two." The man pointed at Yoongi and Jungkook who were both towards the end of the line. "Patrol Area C until precisely one hundred hours. Then," the officer turned to Seokjin and Namjoon. "you two switch with them. Now they will patrol the space you just did-Area D."
Officer Jongkyu-as found by his nametag-assigned Areas to the other boys. The sun sunk lower in the sky as he blabbered on and on. Eventually the land was cast in shadow, and Jungkook could only see by the light coming through the doors they had left through.
One by one big lights clicked on around the area, aiding the boys' sight. Officer Jongkyu finally left them.
Yoongi started to trudge off in a random direction and Jungkook followed him. He hadn't paid attention to instructions, so he hoped Yoongi knew where they were going.
"Ya...do you know where Area C is? I'm so freaking tired I don't remember. I wasn't listening, either."
Well shit. We're so screwed.
My silence was enough of an answer. Yoongi sighed, whisper-yelling to the others who hadn't moved yet.
"Ay! Where's Area C?" Seokjin turned towards them. Jungkook could hear his sigh from fifty feet away. He shrugged, giving them an annoyed look as he started to follow
"I know!" Jimin shouted from across the space.
"SHHHHH." Jungkook's roommates all whispered at Jimin to be quiet. He nodded.
'That way' Jimin mouthed. Jungkook waved a thank you, setting off in the direction his hyung had pointed. He could hear Yoongi trudging along behind him. Jungkook looked at his watch tiredly.
10:00 P.M.
They still had three hours until they shifted positions with the others. For now, Jungkook stood in a peaceful silence with Yoongi at his side and stared at the stars.
