Jungkook shifted his gaze to the floor, bumping shoulders with Jimin as he quickly strode past him. He didn't want to know what the other boy was going to say.
"Jungkook!" Jimin yelled at the younger boy. Jungkook didn't turn back, just kept walking. He didn't want to be late for breakfast either.
Jimin sighed and slowly strolled in the direction where the maknae had headed. He knew he would later regret being late to breakfast, but right now he wasn't very hungry.
He tried to push the memories from the past couple of days from his mind as he walked, greeting every person he met on his route very kindly.
Some say the people who smile the most are the ones who are the most broken. Jimin hadn't really agreed with that, but as he waved and smiled at his fellow soldiers, he realised that he wasn't usually this kind to strangers. He was just trying to keep his mind from thinking about the pressing matters.
Once Jimin finally entered the cafeteria, he headed straight to the usual table. Everyone was already eating, shoving the food down their throats so they wouldn't be late.
Jimin tried to sit beside Jungkook, but he made it evident he didn't want anything to do with his hyung as he spread his legs open, taking up the spot next to him on the bench.
Jimin instead headed around the table to sit by Namjoon, trying to catch Jungkook's gaze. The younger man refused to look up from his food.
Namjoon joked around about last night at dinner, but Jimin couldn't locate the place in his heart to find it funny. Normally he would be wheezing and crying by now, being that Namjoon was actually quite a hilarious person, but he didn't like seeing Jungkook troubled.
Speaking about Jungkook, he had said nothing to Jimin all morning, keeping to himself. Even as the announcements were made, the youngest kept silent, staring at his empty plate as the monotone voice of the sergeant droned on.

Hey, people...sorry I haven't been able to update in so long. School has been very hectic, and involving my outside of school activities, I haven't had a whole lot of time to write.
Just so you know, the next update will most likely be a while from now. Just hang on ^-^ Sorry this chapter was short. It's nearly midnight, and seeing as how this is some of the only time I have for "other" things, I thought I would write a bit.
