Jungkook walked at the back of the group with his head bowed, running over the events of dinner over and over again in his mind. The other boys didn't question his quiet aura, giving him much needed space to process what had happened.

Jimin led the group back to the bunker, and once they got there everyone stopped most of their conversations, branching off into different corners of the room to try and occupy themselves.

Only a few words were exchanged here and there over the course of the night.

Eventually there was a loud clanging noise and some muffled yelling out in the hallway, and the lights abruptly turned off. The friends stopped what they were doing and there were shuffles heard as they all tried to find their way in the pitch black.

Once everyone had settled down and the blankets had stopped rustling, a quiet humming came somewhere in the room. It was a pretty melody, and soon everyone joined in. Jungkook was quiet as the other boys harmonized their voices and occasionally made beats on the walls and the sides of their beds.

Suddenly the humming stopped and everyone let out a breath it seemed they had been holding the whole time.

"Did you guys...compose that song? I've never heard it before." Jungkook said quietly into the darkness.

Jungkook recognized Namjoon's confirming hum. He sat back in his cot, staring up at the ceiling.

"It was beautiful."

Jungkook woke to the other members' loud footsteps. He widened his eyes, realizing he had slept in.

He hurriedly fixed his hair and put on his boots as the boys stood at the door and waited for the call for breakfast. Their eyes tracked him as he scurried around the room, frantic to get ready before they had to leave. The friends couldn't be late, or they would have barely any time to eat.

Why didn't they wake me? Jungkook thought frustratedly.

The previous night's occurrences suddenly came rushing back to him and he froze for a second with his bootlaces halfway tied.

Seokjin cleared his throat and Jungkook gave him an apologetic look as he finished tying one his shoes. He started on the next boot when the call for breakfast rang out. The roommates gave each other questioning glances and turned to look at the youngest as one.

"Uh...it's fine. You can go." Jungkook smiled. "I'll meet you down there."

Hoseok nodded, waving at Jungkook as they all exited the room. He waved back, sighing as he turned back to his boot.

Once finished, Jungkook left the room, heading down the nearly empty hallway towards the cafeteria.

Suddenly Jimin came out of an adjoining corridor just a little ways ahead of where Jungkook was. Their eyes met and the younger started to have flashbacks as his hyung approached him.

"Listen...about last night at supper..." Jimin started, slowly gaining confidence as he tilted his head to look at Jungkook.
