Now I know why he likes this class. The first thing Gamzee does when we walk into class is sit in the only open seat in the back and go right to sleep. I guess the teacher doesn't care what the students do in the back. I really wish I could sit in the back with Gamzee, but the last open seat is in the front next to a guy wearing weird red and blue 3D glasses. I took my seat next to him while he typed away on his computer, already working on a project. Glancing at his computer, I could tell it's not something we'd learn in class. Suddenly, a bee buzzed across my screen, stinging the background. I couldn't help but giggle at this. A lispy voice next to you made you jump a little. "Ah, tho the new girl findth my hacking cute." "I never said that. This is your work?" I pointed at my screen, looking at 3D boy, who nodded. "Yep. I'm the betht in the clath. I don't really need to be here. Hey, watch thith. I'm gonna help you get out of class. Jutht make it look like your typing thomething." Without hesitation, I start typing on my computer, not really doing anything. The teacher notices me and the guy typing and quickly looks at his own computer, wide eyed.
I finally figure out what's going on when I look at the other computer next to me and see two bees buzzing around. One had the 3D boy's face and the other had mine. Our teacher's voice called from his desk. "I'm guessing this is your work, Sollux?" The boy next to me answers. "Mine and the girl netht to me. We could do more if you wanna thee." Our teacher quickly shook his head. "No, that's fine. Since it appears both of you have advanced computer skills, I will permit you two to go to the library and study for your other classes from now on. Now please, remove these bees from the class' computers." Sollux nudged me, whispering about pretending to type again. Typing random stuff yet again while he did the work, the bees disappeared. Sollux smiled to me and I smiled back. Wow. Now we don't have to come to class. I grabbed my bag and followed Sollux out the room. Quickly, I looked to the back of the room before I left and saw a hurt look on Gamzee's face. No. I swear I'm imagining it. He wouldn't be upset I left.
Sollux hummed softly as we walked down the empty hallways. Of course he'd be in a good mood. He got us out of going to class for the rest of the year. But I know jack shit about computers, so how am I gonna pass? As if he read my mind, Sollux spoke up. "If you're worried about paththing, don't. I could tutor you after thchool if you want. By the way, I never caught your name." "It's [Y/n]." He stopped and stuck his hand out to me, smiling. "Nithe to meet ya, [Y/n]. C'mon, we can go thomewhere elthe other than the library. They won't care. Ath long ath we don't 'cauthe a dithturbance.'" Sollux quickly turned down a different hallway before we made it to the library. Since I didn't know where we were going, I just stayed quiet and followed him.
The hallway seemed like it was practically abandoned. None of the classrooms were occupied and a few doors seemed like they were going to fall at any moment. It sort of unnerved me. Sollux was unaffected though. He looked like he knew how to handle being in this hallway. Something scurried along the floor causing me to squeak and jump, bumping into Sollux in the process. He just looked at me and chuckled. "Well that wath cute. Did you thee a mouthe or thomething?" My cheeks turned bright red, from the "cute" comment and from embarrassment. Wow, I'm blushing a whole lot today. "N-No. It looked like a rat. And could you please back up a bit?" I slowly noticed that Sollux was backing me into a wall, trying to corner me. I didn't like this at all. Out of nowhere, the look on Gamzee's face the last time I saw him popped into my head. I wish he was here. He could get Sollux to back up. Sollux leaned down to my ear and whispered. "Why thhould I? I think you're cute and I wanna thhow you how cute you are." He was so close, I could smell his honey shampoo. I could feel him playing with my [h/l] [h/c] hair. It sent chills up my spine. "Look, you seem really nice but I'm not interested. C-can we please go back to the library?" I would've started walking back down the hall if Sollux didn't have his hands on the wall on either side of me. Where's help when I need it?
As if to answer my prayers, a honk came from down the hall. Looking to where it was coming from, I saw a tall figure with a messy mane of hair. My eyes went wide and a smile grew on my lips. Sollux didn't move an inch, but I could tell something was wrong when I saw his body shaking. "I motherfucking suggest you back away from my lil mama before somebody gets motherfucking hurt. Am I motherfucking clear?" Sollux hesitantly nodded his head before backing up to the opposite wall, then he started walking down the hall. I quickly ran to Gamzee and hugged him. He laughed and hugged me back. "You okay there?" I nodded, unable to speak since I had my face buried in his shirt. After another minute, I backed up a bit and gave him a confused look. "How'd you know where we were?" "I just motherfucking asked the teacher if I could go to the bathroom then I followed you two. It's a motherfucking miracle I got here when I did. But [Y/n], be careful around him. He's a huge flirt and messes with quite a few girls. He's my motherfucking friend and all but still. I'd hate to see you get hurt after just starting here." He smiled down at me and chuckled seeing yet another one of my frequent blushes.
We walked back to class in silence, which wasn't so bad. Gamzee got the student next to him to move so I could sit next to him and the rest of class was spent playing games on the computer and goofing off. Finally, the bell rang and we were off to lunch. I was really nervous. Gamzee was going to introduce me to more of his friends. What if they don't like me? What if they didn't approve of me? I've never been so nervous in my life.
