Gamzee's POV

After finding the note, I felt that familiar anger creep forward. Running outside, I lit a joint and puffed on it. Slowly, I felt the anger ebb away as a blissful high set upon me. I could hear Dad explain to Terezi and Kurloz that this trip was going to be longer. Whoever Vriska was working with was a twisted fuck. The thought of [Y/n] being tortured by those sick bastards echoed through my brain. I puffed the joint again as Terezi came out the door. She leaned against the wall next to me and sighed. "The other are looking around for anything that could help us." Puff. "You're worried about her." It was a statement. "If what the note said is true, Vriska will keep her word and we can get [Y/n] back unharmed. Vriska knows not to mess with legal terms if I'm involved." I chuckled, "That's what worries me, T. I am praying for a miracle but, what if we don't find them in time?" She stared down at her cane. I finished the joint and pulled out a cigarette. It was rare that I smoke these. "I can't believe Ampora's brother got you into those. They make everything smell ugly and rotted." I shrugged and walked downwind of her.

We stood out here in silence for what seemed like a millennia but was only 10 minutes. I could only think of our destination. My mother. I haven't talked to her since we moved. Dad and Kurloz still go see her every few weeks. I can't. The memories fog my head...

Flashback

I ran through our colorful house as I hear the thudding of feet came up behind me. I quickly duck into one of the rooms and hide inside the closet. My heart beat intensely as I tried to calm my breathing. The room was empty from what I could see through the slits in the door. Finally, I could breath normally. But my heart beat faster as two legs came into the room. I could see up to the waistband of the deep purple yoga pants. They slowly made their way through the room, closer and closer to me until they were right in front of me. I held my breath as the door handle jiggled and...

"Gotcha, ya little bugger!" I screamed as two arms wrapped around my torso and squeezed. Then, I was dragged onto the bed and attacked by my mom's tickle. Her bright smile and even brighter blue eyes shined down at me as she showered me with this torture. I couldn't stop laughing until she pulled me into a hug. I wrapped my little arms around ger slender neck and buried my face in her long black hair. "I love you, Mom." She kissed my forehead. "I love you too, my little clown."

I felt a finger run over my cheek. I opened my eyes and realized I had started crying. Terezi said nothing pulled me into a hug. I hesitated before hugging back. After a moment, we let go. Just in time as Dad and Kurloz came outside. They gave me a worried look, but I just shrugged and lit a second joint. We piled into the Hummer and started our two hour drive. Dad had turned on the radio and everyone was taking turns with the music. He decided to keep us occupied and try to bring up our spirits. It was Terezi's turn. It was an interesting song. (Play the song now). I stared out the window and got lost in my thoughts...

Flashback

My room felt cold. The darkness seemed to swallow everything as shouts bounced off the walls and through my door. Mom and Dad were arguing again. It was something about Dad's family and their habits. I was so confused. She wanted me and Kurloz to 'be safe' but Dad didn't like that. I heard more yelling before it stopped, then a door slammed and feet stomped towards my door. I quickly layed down and pretended I was asleep.

My door opened and I heard Mom's soft footsteps walk to my bed. She climbed in my bed and carefully held me. She kissed my head and started singing a lullaby to me. Tears threatened to break.

I came back to reality when I saw a sign. The sign welcoming us to my old home. The car was silent as we drove down the busy streets. Everything looked the same, even my old schools. Soon enough, we passed our old house. More memories flashed by as we drove past it. My mom playing with me and Kurloz in the yard, Dad cooking on the grill as we all joked about his food. I turned and saw Kurloz hold back the same tears as me. Terezi of offered a hug. He leaned into her and she silently comforted him. I went back to looking out the window. More scenery passed by.

Dad cleared his throat when he turned down a pathway. The welcome sign looked as deathly as the rest of the changing landscape. We parked in an empty lot and left the car. A grid of stones lined the spacious place. Names scrawled across each one. Different dates, different stories, but all the same fate. We kept walking between stones until a particular one stopped us. Dad and Kurloz stood a few feet away from it but I went right up to it. Kneeling in front of it, I place a hand on top of the 'Makara' stone.

"Hi, Mom. It's been a while."

Reader's POV

I sat in the uncomfortable chair, shackles on my wrists and ankles to hold me in place. It's been several hours sinve I was taken but the only person I've seen is Vriska. She's mentioned that she's helping someone with taking me. And she's putting Gamzee and Kurloz through hell. In order to slow them down so they can't find me. But I trust them. They will find me. And I will kick this spider-bitch's ass.
