Gamzee practically dragged me to the cafeteria to get our lunches before meeting his friends. I almost dropped my tray when I paid for my food before I was being dragged again. He was really excited for me to meet them. He had the biggest grin on his adorably dorky face. The fact that he's this excited might mean they could actually like me. Well, still nervous but not so much. I finally was able to walk next to Gamzee without tripping. Actually, I was lightly jogging; he was just walking using long smooth strides. He chuckled when he saw how fast I had to walk just to keep up with him. Okay, really? I'm shorter. What do you expect? We walked outside and started heading towards a big tree in the courtyard. Under the tree were several students. Some I remember from earlier, others I didn't know. I felt a nudge on my shoulder as we slowed down then looked up at Gamzee. "Don't worry, lil mama. Everyone will like you." How the hell did he know that's what I was worried about? I just nodded and kept following him.

When we reached the tree, Gamzee immediately started the introductions. "Hey, everyone! This is my new motherfucking friend, [Y/n]. She just transferred here. [Y/n], these are my friends. You've already motherfucking met Feferi, Equius, Eridan, Terezi, and Sollux." I waved to them, they waved back. Well, Fef jumped up and gave me a big hug, nearly squeezing the life from me. Hearing my struggles earned a giggle from her and another girl in the group. She reminded me of a cat. The little smile, her green eyes, and the kitty ear hat she was wearing. After Feferi let go of me, Gamzee casually put his arm on my shoulders, like he did earlier with Eridan. Once the kitty girl saw the gesture, she gasped and started scribbling something in the journal on her lap. Fef giggled again and said, "I called it! Nepeta's new ship!" Everyone looked at her confused then saw kitty girl, Nepeta, still scribbling in her journal. A simultaneous groan was heard throughout the group. Nepeta just looked up at everyone and hissed. She actually hissed. "Hey don't look at me! I have to keep efuryone's ships updated. Helps with little bets." Everyone nodded at this, a few snickers and chuckles here and there. Gamzee just shook his head and motioned for me to sit down next to him at the table the group crowded around.

One of the other two girls sat next to me. She seemed very chill. She had gorgeous black hair that flowed down her shoulders to about the middle of her back, her cute brown eyes looking at me curiously as she fixed her red blouse a bit and straightened her black skirt a bit. She reached a hand out to me and I nervously shook it. She spoke in a very calm tone. "I'm Aradia. It's nice to meet you. Do you like Alternia High so far?" I nodded. "Yeah, it's pretty okay here. Most of the people here are nice. Though others I'd like to stay away from." I heard somebody cough and glanced up and Sollux. He had a slight blush on his cheeks. I hope he knows I didn't entirely mean him. I turned my attention back to Aradia just as she asked me who I meant. Before I could answer, Gamzee spoke up. "She had a motherfucking run in with Vriska. It's a motherfucking miracle I got there when I did. She had her minions kicking the shit out of [Y/n]." Everyone looked at me with wide eyes.

One of the boys I haven't met yet stood up and yelled. "Somebody has to put that bitch in her place. She doesn't fucking own this school. And she certainly has no right beat the shit out of a new girl on her first day here!" Gamzee sighed, shaking his head, before getting up to calm down the worked up boy. "Chill, Karbro. Somebody will put her in her motherfucking place one day. No offense, best friend, but we all know it won't motherfucking be you." He hugged the boy as everyone started laughing, making the boy blush like crazy. "You all can shut the fuck up, you dang nooksuckers!" This got more laughs from everyone. After Gamzee let him go, he just sat down with his arms crossed on his chest. Everyone was still laughing and making little jokes about the boy when somebody nudged me.

I looked behind me to find a guy in a wheelchair looking up at me. "Um, ignore Karkat's attitude. He likes to, um, think he's big and bad when he's really a, uh, softie. I'm Tavros, by the way." Adorable wheelchair boy stuck out his hand very nervously, which I shook happily. He seemed very nice. He had sorta long-ish brown hair that was cut in a Mohawk, so it fell mostly to the side. He has an orange t-shirt with a Taurus symbol in the middle. He had a blanket covering his legs. His legs must be pretty messed up if he's covering them. 'He's still cute though,' I thought to myself. My quick little thoughts were interrupted when I saw a biscuit whiz past my face, hitting Tavros in the side of his head, followed by Karkat's yelling. "I am not a softie! I can stop her if I want to!" Tavros just ate the biscuit, everyone laughing again while the last person in the group commented. "But will you, Karkat? Will you really show Vriska that we have had enough of her tyranny?" Karkat blushed again, which probably meant he won't. "Oh shut your mouth and go find your girlfriend, Kanaya." More laughs from everyone. This time I joined in. Everyone seemed so friendly towards each other. We all chatted excitedly, the group wanting to get to know me and how I moved her. There were little food fights between certain people and flirty jokes towards some people were made. Everything was awesome. Until a cold shower of chocolate milk rained on just me.

The whole group fell silent. I guess nobody noticed the person or people walk up to me. We were all distracted. I couldn't blame them. Finally, somebody spoke behind me and I froze at the sound of her voice. "Well well. Looooooook at what we have here. It seems we spilled our milk and it just so happens that the fresh meat got in the way. Such a tragedy." I refused to look behind me, not wanting to give her the satisfaction. I just continued eating my lunch calmly and hoped she'd go away. My hopes weren't answered when my face got slammed into my [f/f]. That's when everyone came to my defense. Shouts were heard from everyone, telling her to leave me alone and to pick on somebody her own size and that she'd be used for a kitty toy. I even heard a few profanities that I wouldn't even repeat. The only person who stayed silent though was Gamzee. I could see his body shaking a bit. Karkat seemed to have noticed too because he immediately got up and tried calming his best friend down. Soon the group settled down, seeing Gamzee's shaking form. I looked at everyone with a confused look as fear suddenly filled everyone's faces. I slowly looked at Gamzee, his face covered by his dark hair. Karkat seemed to get frantic with his calming methods until he gave up, slowly backing away. As he was passing me, he grabbed my arm and started pulling me back. Why? What was wrong with Gamzee? Why was everyone scared? It took a few more tugs before I finally gave in and started backing up with him. Once we were about ten feet away, Gamzee got up and turned to Vriska. Even she seemed a little scared but she wanted to stand her ground again, prove she won't back down. Gamzee walked to her until there was barely a foot between them. I could see her shaking a bit, but still refusing to move. "Get out of my face, you big clown. I'm not afraid of you. You're just a clown. Nothing more. Just a pathetic excuse for a clown. All you do is lay around and drink faygo, thinking everything is a miracle. Ha! Newsflash, there's no such thing as miracles." I felt Karkat tense up next to me. I looked at him, wondering what's wrong. All he said was "She's so dead." Slowly turning my head back to the two, I saw Gamzee slowly raise his hand then quickly move it to her throat. She tried to gasp but obviously couldn't. She started clawing at Gamzee's hand, trying to get him to let go. He finally spoke after what seemed like ages. "You can motherfucking say all the shit you want about me, I don't care. It won't faze me since I've heard so much worse from people who were actually big and bad, unlike a certain motherfucking spider bitch I know. But never EVER fucking say there's no such thing as motherfucking miracles. This world is filled with them. You're just too motherfucking stuck up to see them. All you do is hurt other people and try to act like a motherfucking queen. You've hurt too many people, Vriska. Hurting [Y/n] is the last motherfucking straw" I could see Vriska starting to lose consciousness. That's it. I can't take this. I don't want Gamzee getting in trouble.

I quickly ran up to Gamzee, ignoring everyone's hushed protests to back away and leave him alone. I didn't care. Gamzee didn't even notice me next to him until I started pulling on his arm a bit. He looked down at me, fire in his gorgeous purple eyes. Slowly, I shook my head to him. "Please, put her down. It's not worth getting in trouble. Please put her down, Gamzee. I think she's learned her lesson." I pulled at his arm a little more, seeing that Vriska was about to pass out. His features softened as he reluctantly let go of her. She fell to the ground, gasping for air as her minions quickly picked her up and scurried off with her. I felt his arms wrap around me and pulling me into a hug, his body shaking. I put my arms around his waist, my head on his chest as he buried his face in my hair. "Thanks, lil mama." I smiled and hugged him tighter. "Don't thank me. You're the one who stood up for me. Thank you." He chuckled softly before letting me out of the hug. I looked back at the table and everyone was staring at us, mouths hanging open in amazement. The first one to speak was Karkat. "How the fuck did you calm him down so quickly? Not even I can calm him down that fast, and I'm his best fucking friend!" I blushed brightly. "I don't know. I just asked him to let her go, that it wasn't worth getting in trouble." Mouths still hung open. Did I miss something again?
