We're walking around the mall, Latula holding Mituna's hand to keep him from running into every single store and Kurloz's arm still around me. People of all ages are bustling around, making the mall seem like a busy highway. Our little group sticks walking by the walls between the stores and glancing at the signs in the windows. Passing by a skate store, Latula and Mituna run in as though they were children in a toy store. Before I could follow them, Kurloz pulls me away and we keep walking. "Why didn't we go in with them?" I ask. He pulls his drawing book from his bag and writes "Because we would have been in there literally for hours." I simply nod and continue walking with the chilled out clown. We keep walking for a few minutes, laughing at some people arguing over clearance items or puling their kids away from the loners who probably have nothing better to do. I feel somebody touch my hand and glance down, seeing Kurloz hold his hand out slightly. Smiling a bit, I gently put my hand in his. His grip tightens a bit, I see a soft smile come across his lips. We wandered some more before coming across the book store. Excited, I pull him into it while he feigned disgust before silently chuckling.

If it wasn't obvious, I love to read. Reading was so magical. Every book I've read made me feel as though I was in the text, in the imaginary worlds the authors created. Reading and music are what keep me somewhat sane in my life; well, besides Miss F and Jenni, who have kept me out of the trouble the past few years. Before I met them, I was in a blur of problems and became known as "Trouble". That was literally my nickname everywhere I went.

Before those memories could come through my mind, I dragged Kurloz towards the fantasy section. Fantasy has always been my favorite genre. Magic, monsters, and quite a few female heroes who make me wish I could be like them. But I'm more like the nasty monsters you're parents warn you about.

I skimmed the titles slowly. I wasn't looking for anything in particular. Just looking to see if anything catches my eyes. Kurloz just stood silently and watched me as I looked through the titles im wonder, an amused smirk across his face. Sticking my tongue out at him, I walked down one aisle of books to the next, just amazed at how many different places and people can be in one room through bound pieces of paper. Not seeing anything I want to get, I turn to tell Kurloz we're going to look around the mall some more but he wasn't behind me. I quickly strode through the store until I noticed he was at the doors, sketching again. Stealthily, I crept up behind him to sneak a peek but my foot accidentally kicked a leg on one of the display tables, making it shake a bit. He turned at the sound and smiled, closing his book. I blushed and stood straight and walked over to him. he gestured out the door, allowing me to leave first so I did.

We continued our little journey, hand in hand yet again. I couldn't fight the smile on my face just thinking about it. Kurloz was so sweet and caring. He made me feel so safe and warm. My smile disappeared though when I thought of Gamzee. There was something about him that kind of draws me to him. ((it was at this moment your dear author burned some of the hair by her face whilst lighting a cigarette so now all she smells is burned hair. be smart and dont be like me, stay away from cigarettes)). The way he's so calm, the way he smiles, how protective he is.

I was drawn from my thoughts when Kurloz tugged on my hand and pointed to the food court. I nodded and we got some burgers and fries from (insert place here). We ate in silence but it was a comfortable silence. He finished his food in about 10 minutes while i still had half a burger and a few fries left. Kirloz attempted to sneak a fry before I caught him and ate it before he could. He gave me the saddest puppy face he could muster, his lower lip sticking out in a pout while his eyes got big. "Oh take the damn thing, you big goof," I said sarcastically before throwing one at his nose. In mid-air he caught it and ate it happily before going to town on the rest of the fries. Shaking my head and laughing a bit,  I stood up and threw away our trash. "Hey, I'll be right back. I gotta pee like a motherfucker." He chuckled silently before writing a note. 'i'll be waiting here.' I gave him a thumbs up before scurrying to the restrooms.

Cleaning my hands, I let my mind wander. Thoughts of this and that floating by. Distracted by my own imaginings, I didn't hear the almost silent footsteps come up behind me. Suddenly, a hard object connects with my right cheek and sending me to the floor. I held my now throbbing cheek. Warm liquid dripped down my face as I felt the scratch that purse had given me. A girl's voice came from above me. "Oh my, it's  [Y/n]! I'm soooooooo sorry. I can be such a clutz. Let me help you up!" WHAM!! Her fist collides with my unharmed cheek, knocking me flat. Her black and white converses fly towards me and kick me repeatedly wherever they could hit. I could already feel the bruises forming.

I looked up and saw the face of my attacker. Then, her phone rang. I was in too much pain to move, or even scream. "Of course I got her. I said I would and I did.......Do you take me for a fool?! What do you think I'm going to do? Drag her out of here in public and try to meddle with the plan?!......No but it's nothing lethal. Just some bumos and bruises. Andacutonhercheek..........." She looked down at me with a scared look on her face as a loud booming voice came from the other end of her call. When it subsided, she started whispering into it before hanging up.

She paced across the room, not even bothering with me. Her face showed that she was thinking hard about something. Probably what to do next. Making sure she couldn't notice it, I curled up into a ball and made it seem like it was from pain. Hidden under my arm was my phone. I somewhat quickly unlocked it and opened my texts. I had managed to send out at least 4 letters before something got stuck into my neck and I blacked out.
