The smell of food wafted under his nose a vibrant smell of different herbs attacked his taste buds making him sit up and want to eat whatever it was.. However sitting up proved to be harder than it was yesterday, from his position he looked around at the other people in his company Sam was by the cooking pot Frodo next to him they were talking but he didn't know what about, Merry and Pippin were talking to Gandalf although I don't think Gandalf was listening, Boromir was by the edge of the camp probably on watch duty Gimli was on the other side probably doing the same. That only left one other person one that he so desperately wanted to see. A sneeze drew his attention away from the people around him although they all turned to him as if he had sprouted horns.. Although that could've been a possibility "you don't look so well maybe you should take more sleep" Sam had approached and placed his chubby hand across his forehead noting the hot temperature that had come from it "I'm fine... Where's" he had begun to ask but was cut off "Aragorn.. It is alright rest some more and then we shall proceed when you feel up to it" Gandalf always had to have the last word although they were all right Aragorn did feel particularly unwell but all he could think about was his friend. "Where's Legolas??" He asked after some time causing everyone to look round as if he'd magically appear.. He didn't and with that everyone spread out trying to find the missing elf.
It had been hours since they discovered Legolas was missing and Aragorns headache was getting worse, Boromir and Pippin were now on watch duty while everyone else split up Gandalf and Merry went down towards the lake, Sam and Frodo went up the cliff side towards higher ground which left Gimli and Aragorn to search the other side of camp. It was dark when the camp rejoined all with bad news sitting in silence was when they discovered a noise a very small noise one you wouldn't even notice but it was there. Aragorn knew it only as his friend and knew exactly where he would be.. Walking towards the tree he woke up under he looked up to see a strange sight Legolas was curled up in a ball with his hair disheveled slightly and his nose was redder than normal, the company gathered at the bottom of the tree looking up at the slight similarities between Aragorn and him at the moment... The slight red nose the pale skin the tiredness they all turned to Aragorn expectedly "I thought elves don't get sick?" Pippin asked innocently "they don't normally however this elf is special and so so stubborn" Gandalf replied as a sneeze erupted from the person in question "is it worse when elves get sick" merry asked "it is pretty much the same as if a human got a cold, we just need to look out for our two sick boys they do seem to find trouble together" a smile spread across Gandalfs face as he looked upon Legolas and then on Aragorn "I guess you're right Mithrandir, although it is all Estels fault" as Legolas spoke the rest of the company jumped not knowing he was indeed awake making everyone chuckle afterwards. Yes the road ahead was going to be tricky if they kept sneezing.
