Reunited - Part 13

Fast forward after the tour, Jon is back in California and Dodie is back in England. They missed each other but, what could they have done? They're just in two different places, literally and figuratively, right now and there's nothing they can do. Fast forward another month of Skype and iMessage, Jon finds a time he can fly out to Dodie. So, he decides to surprise her. After his flight, he gets in the uber to go to Dodie's flat. Hazel is out of town to see family so, Dodie's all alone. Jon knows she must be miserable. Jon turns the doorknob and the door is unlocked. He frowns, knowing someone could have broken in. He creeps in to find Dodie sitting on a tall stool, playing the ukulele. He smiles at her voice and quietly walks up behind her. He snakes his arms around her waist and puts his head on her shoulder. "Oh, my God!" She screams. She quickly jerks around to see Jon holding her tight. "Jon!" Her frown turns to a smile as she hugs him. "You scared me." She says, feeling her heartbeat. "I'm sorry." He says, sticking his bottom lip out. She kisses him. "What are you doing here?" She says, as they sit down on the floral sofa. "Well, I had some time off so, I came to see you." He smiles. She hugs him again. "Would you like some tea?" She asks, pushing her glasses up. "Um hum." Jon says as he curls up on the throw pillow. "Okayy." She laughs. The two catch up and eventually, Jon falls asleep in her lap.
