"Hi. Im Doctor Tim Rodriguez." The doctor introduce himself. We shook hands as we settle ourselves in the sofa of his office. He calls for a meeting regarding to Erin's condition.

Im with Erin's parents together with Misag and Jeron. While Iya stays at the hospital room to check for Erin. She's with Vaun.

"Her dad pays me to stay here in the country and check on her. I am also the one to diagnose she has a Lukemia. I end up working in this hospital while checking on her and she visits me every week." He explain.

"Is she going to be fine?" I ask directly. I dont want to beat around the bush.

Malungkot na ngumiti ang doktor nya. Nasapo ko ang muka ko gamit ang palad. I frustratedly palm it againts my face. Tears fell from my eyes because of agony and pain. She cant just leave me again.

"It's stage one. It can be cure." He said. Nag angat ako ng tingin sa kanya. "But the patient refuse to have a chemo. She dont want any treatment because it will consume her energy. She said she will just live her life to the fullest."

"If she go under chemo. Is she going to be fine?"

Tumango sya. "Eighty percent of chance she will be cure. But she need to undergo chemo for three years. Im afraid she will refuse. I was convincing her for the longest time. If only she have a sister who can donate her bone marrow."

"What about the bone marrow?" Tito Pascual ask.

"You can donate a bone marrow. She'll go under surgery and there's ninety five percent she'll be totaly cure."

Nabuhayan ako ng pag-asa sa sinabi ng doktor.

"Then we'll donate."

Umiling ito. "Fifty fifty is the chance that you'll match. Even the parents dont, but we can try. Hundred percent that will match is her sibling. But im afraid Iya is her sister from a different father. For sure it wont match. But i'l still ready you for the test. Maybe some kind of miracle will came and one of you will match."

"Pray for her. But i suggest for the better. Tell her to undergo chemo Therapy." The doktor said and leave us in his office.

At least ay may pag-asa pa si Erin.

Natigilan kami ng padabog na lumabas si Iya sa kwarto ni Erin. I look at her with disbelief and enter her room in urgency. Hinabol si Iya ni tita Irene habang kasama ko namang pumasok ang iba sa kwarto.

I see Vaun help Erin to sit at the sofa that is facing the glass wall of the city lights.

"What happen?" I ask Vaun. Malungkot na ngumiti sya at umiling. "Nagkasagutan lang sila ni Iya." My eyes widen. Pinatulan sya ni Iya? "Pagpasensyahan mo na. Nasasaktan lang si Iya." He tapp my shoulders and follow Iya outside.

Tito Pascual, Misag and Jeron settle themselves at the long sofa. I sit beside Erin as i see her reading a book.

A walk to remember.

"Hi.." bati nya sakin. She still has those breathtaking smile despite of her pale color. She looks really tired and it's breaking my heart.

"Hi.." i pull her closer to me and let her head rested in my shoulder.

"Can you read this for me?" She said sweetly.

"Sure." I get the book from her. My tears cascade again. She was panting and catching her breath and it's breaking me.

I read her the first line of the story and stop, not even finish with the first page.

"I dont know why you love this story though." I look at the book in every corner of it. I was lookig for something special about it why Erin fell inlove? But there's nothing that i found. "This story is so tragic like Romeo and Juliet. Jamie leave Landon behind."
