Monday morning came, I rolled over in my bed – I felt fresher than I had in days like I finally could face this. I got ready for school, I still wasn't looking forward to facing everything but at least I knew I had shared part of the hell I was living.
"Ella, breakfast is ready!" I heard Aunt Rae call from the kitchen, I looked at my reflection – yep, that will do, my Hair was back in a braid, the only difference between my regular look for school and today.
I walked into the kitchen, and was surprised to see Aunt Rae standing next to the table, with a plate of eggs, toast, and bacon. I could tell she was still trying to make up for Saturday, and everybody knows bacon makes everything better, apparently even vegans know the rule!
After devouring my plate of breakfast goodness - I headed out and met Heath, he was waiting in his car with music pumping already – I opened the door and jumped in the car.
"Hey Heath" I greeted him with a strip of bacon held between my teeth as I put my seat belt on.
"Morning, ready to-" He turned to me, he paused mid-sentence staring at me before chuckling "Is that bacon?"
"What? Bacon and I have a very intimate relationship" I retorted with raised eyebrows before taking another bite and keeping the delicious rasher out of his reach
"Yeah I know, you never stop raving about it;" he laughed before turning the car on.
"What's not to love about bacon though?" I questioned before continuing to ramble on about it, while Heath laughed and turned the music up for our drive to school.

The rest of the week passed in a similar fashion I didn't see much of Brandon, he kept his distance. Only testing the waters to see if I told anyone what he did, before I knew it Friday afternoon was here, we never brought up the weekend, we didn't need to – there was an unspoken bond and Heath knew I hadn't told Kristy about what had happened to me, I would when I was ready.
Brandon had somehow got a hold of my number and has been sending me a daily texts, if I was being honest with myself – it's getting harder and harder to ignore, especially after this morning's reminder that he's watching me, and can't wait to get me alone again...
Heath was starting to suspect that there was something I wasn't telling him – I could feel his gaze on me when I was being quiet. Like now, we were all sitting in Chemistry, Jack, Kristy, Heath and I had taken to sitting at a bench together – Sara would throw evil looks my way every once in a while, and I could feel Brandon watching me, I tried focusing on the textbook, and ignoring both of them. But Friday afternoon just before the end of the week bell meant no one else was thinking the same way.
I could hear Sara bragging to the girls on her bench about her birthday party this weekend. As the bell rang she approached our desk.
"Hey Heath, are you coming to my party." Sara asked as she leaned seductively over our bench inching her finger closer to his arm, her chest squished and not looking as good as I think she hoped it did, eugh... I think I'm going to be sick.
"Er..." Heath glanced at me but didn't actually answer; I could tell he was checking to see whether I wanted to, I didn't even have a chance to answer before Sara responded,
"Good, I'll see you there." She winks at Heath and glared at me before walking off.
I glanced at Heath and couldn't help but laugh, he looked like a confused puppy.
"So we're going to Sara's then?" I laughed as I looked at him, seeming to get more confused "I'm not letting you go alone" I said with so much more confidence as I got up and headed for the door, Heath followed me remaining silent before speaking up as we walked.
