7 - Getting Along
"This is where we'll be staying. We made room for two more." Ivy thought she heard something but disregarded it when Eva stopped, suddenly looking alarmed.
"What's wrong?" Ivy has a keen sense of hearing. A skill only given to Children of the Night like her. "Ivy...what's wrong?" Roma asked again.
It's unfortunate to think how Roma went from totally cool to paranoid about everything, Ivy thought to herself. Maybe it's much better like this. For Roma to be cautious. For her to be careful every single time.
"Who's there?" Eva asked. Her voice different from before. A lot tougher than her normal conversational-tone. Ivy didn't like how the house smelled like. She was beginning to sweat and feel dizzy. There was this force that wanted to get inside of her...the spirit's strong...but weaker inside this house.
Ivy didn't want her sisters to feel alarmed so she disregarded it and thought of it as her imagination...which later turned out to be her biggest regret.
"Relax, Ev, it's me." and a girl with green butterfly wings popped out from above and looked at Ivy and Roma like she's seen ghosts. "Who do we have here?"
She's a girl with curly long multi-colored hair and green eyes. She had freckles at the bottom of her eyes but nothing can hide her beauty.
'I knew it, Daughters of Cassiopea are Goddesses!' Ivy once again read Roma's smiling face and curious mind.
"Corine, meet Ivy Freyhollow and Roma Lockwood." as Ivy reached out to Corine, she felt the same tingly but wonderful feeling. Like they somehow connected like how she, Roma and Eva did.
"Nice meeting both of you. Finally! We've been looking for you!" Corine hugged them both, she's still hovering above the ground with her wings fully spread. "Come on you two, let me introduce you to Katrina." right when they were outside a room with full blast music, Corine stopped and looked at Ivy.
What's wrong with her? She asked herself, though aware that she could not answer her own curiosity. Corine's wings finally disappeared and maybe...melted...at her back. She walked closer to Ivy and stared at her with those green eyes.
"You're...a vampire." Ivy nodded. "This is not good...let's get ourselves out of here before--" and at the same time, a roaring sound came from the room they were supposed to go to and the door blasted off. Ivy was just in time when she pulled Roma farther away.
"WHY IS THERE A VAMPIRE IN THIS HOUSE?!" and just when the girl turned around, Ivy's eyes turned red. She didn't know what happened to her, but the revulsing smell of mutt was too fresh and she couldn't contain the anger in her blood.
"AKKK~" the werewolf girl screamed. She held her hand up her throat and coughed...like she was being strangled by something that cannot be seen by the naked eye. "I--AGHH--CAN'T--B-BREA--"
"Ivy! No! No! Ivy don't! She's our sister!" Ivy wanted to stop, but everything went wrong. She felt a feeling that she cannot define burn into her unexistent soul.
'That's right Ivy...you cannot trust anyone. You can come to me, my child. You can rely on me. And me, only. I am the confidence of all, who live and breathe on this fiery ball. Be reminded, child. Kill her...kill the werewolf before she kills you.'
And then she saw the fires of hell...well, at least she thought so.
"IVY! COME ON! WHAT ARE YOU DOING! IVY! STOP! IVY!" Ivy snapped back to reality and fell to the floor, breathing hard.
"W-what's...w-what's wrong with you?" even if she didn't want to hear what Roma was thinking, she still did. Ivy has scared the cow out of Roma and Roma wouldn't even look at her anymore.
"I...I didn't...I didn't mean to...I-I'm sorry..." Eva, and Roma came rushing to the unconscious girl while Corine kneeled in front of Ivy and smiled.
"It's okay Ivy...don't worry."
