Finding Olivia was easier said than done. Maggie had her address, but she wasn't home and time was running out. They needed to fine Jade as soon as possible.
"I'm pretty sure this is where she works," said Maggie as they approached the Dragon Sanctuary.
"She works with dragons?" asked Serena.
"That's what she told me," said Maggie. "She must be here."
"Uh – I think I'll wait outside," said Oliver staring at the giant statue of a dragon.
"You don't want to come?" asked Serena.
"I uh- I'm not too particulary fond of things that can fry me and eat me," he said.
Serena didn't know Oliver was scared of anything.
"We'll be right back," she said before she gave him a quick kiss.
Maggie and Serena wandered into the main lobby. This place was huge with stone columns and marble flooring. Serena didn't realize how many people worked to protect dragons and give them a natural habitat. Outside there were fields and caves as far as they could see where the dragons could roam free.
"There must be some type of wall or border that keeps them from flying away too far," said Maggie looking out the window.
"Come on," said Serena as they made their way to a desk that read: receptionist.
They approached a woman with blonde hair pulled up into a tight bun and square black glasses that were not flattering to her face at all. She was speaking as a Quick Quotes Quill wrote down everything she said.
"Excuse me," said Maggie. The woman looked up.
"How can I help you?" she answered in a thick Romanian accent.
"We're here looking for our friend, Olivia Hawthorne. It's urgent."
"Follow me," she said as she stood up from her desk.
She led Maggie and Serena to the back of the giant building through double doors that led to an enclosure. There was a dragon that was distressed and in chains. Serena and Maggie wondered if it was safe to enter, but the woman gestured for them to follow her.
Serena watched as the dragon struggled and cried against its bonds. Wizards dressed in strange outfits were next to the dragon attempting to calm it. Their wands were drawn in a defensive manner.
"Olivia!" screamed Maggie. Serena's attention was drawn back towards Maggie and she saw Olivia approaching them in the strange attire the other wizards were wearing. She looked tired, but still beautiful.
"Oh my gosh! Serena! Maggie! I can't believe it's you!" she yelled as she fell into Maggie's embrace.
"Thank you," said Serena to the receptionist as she walked away.
"Oh, Serena," Olivia said as she pulled her into a hug. "What are you guys doing here?"
The dragon roared.
"Come, let's go somewhere quieter!" said Olivia as she led them back through the doors and back into the lobby.
"What on Earth are you two doing here? How did you find me?" asked Olivia. Her smile was plastered onto her face and Serena wasn't excited to share what was happening to her.
Serena decided to start from the beginning because she had no idea how much Olivia knew, she was in a completely different country. Olivia gasped in all the right places and when Maggie and Serena were through explaining, Olivia seemed to not know what to say.
