I fought as hard as I could and yet somehow, I still stand in a pool of blood. Red and seeping from the bodies lying on the ground. They are everywhere. On floors of the pack house, the grass in the yard, and in my head. I didnt kill them, I did the next worst thing. I let them be killed. My pack. The one I pledged to protect, was in ruin. Every member gone, because I couldn't protect them.

The rogues that attacked were powerful. Some were clearly trained fighters. The strongest of my warriors had trouble with them. What I hadnt expected in the attack was the organization. Rogues never had organized attacks. But this time, they had a plan, and they had an alpha to guide them. He took out my beta with a wave of his hand. His glare was stone cold and there was fire blazing behind his eyes. My pack members and his rouges fell around us we fought. Over and over he almost won but I kept fighting. By the time I had killed him, the remaining rogues retreated and my pack was dead. My pack is dead. I failed to protect them.

I limp of into the woods and shift, running deep into the trees and away from the bloodbath. I will never find redemption for this. I will never receive anyone's forgiveness. No one is alive to forgive me.

----------------------------------------------
I have been running for five days. I cant stop. I wont stop. I know I have entered another alpha's territory but I can bring myself to care.

I hear howls close by, wolves close in behind me, but I make no effort to escape them. Let them catch me. Let them kill me. I should be with my pack.

A larger wolf jumps in front of me, bearing his teeth. He is young and power radiates off him in waves. A future alpha no doubt. He shifts and commands me to do so as well.

"You have a name?"

"Alpha Jasper Travis."

"What is your business here Alpha?"

I don't answer him. We sit in a tense silence before he tells me to follow him to the pack house to speak with his father. We shift and begin a slow and steady pace back to their pack house. I am handed clothes and then ushered into their alpha's office. The alpha sits behind a large wooden desk. You could tell this man was powerful from miles away.

"An alpha, running wildly through other packs territory? Do you have a death wish son?" The annoyance in his voice is evident.

"Im Alpha Jasper Travis of Redwood pack. Rogues attacked and killed everyone. I seek nothing but to go on in peace." It true. But I know I never will. The voices are getting louder everyday. I can here them screaming for help. Battle cries turning to cries of agony. Louder and louder and I cant here myself think.

"Rogues? How many?"

"Hundreds."

I can barely hear myself over the noise in my head.

He sighs and runs his hands over his face. He is concerned for his pack I can tell. He looks up to me and speaks again.

"Jasper you are welcome to stay with my pack for the time being. I will address the rogue situation and see to it that we find out why the are together in such numbers. But remember this: you are not alpha here and you must see to it that you benefit my pack. Since you have no ranking here, you take on the title of omega."

"Yes sir."

He dismisses me from his office and I quickly remove myself from his presence. Somehow five days ago I was sitting in my own office surrounded by my happy pack, as their leader. Now my pack is dead. I am weak. I am an Omega.
