Epilogue

Christmas day: (4 and 1/2 months later)

Penelope P.O.V.

These past fee months have torn me to pieces. After my brother's death, the alpha position was offered to Jasper. It took me a while to convince Jasper he was capable, due to the lose of his past pack. We have been Alpha and Luna for three months now. He is completely healed now thanks to some great pack doctors.

Haley fell deep into depression after Philip's death. I was worried for her life. She kept slipping further away until October, when she learned she was pregnant with Philip's child. I think she decided she needed to live for the baby. My god-son is due May 4th.

My older sister Katelyn found her mate too. His name is Tristan and I can tell he really loves her already. They just sit there and stare at each other sometimes. I wonder if thats how Jasper and I look to most people?

Christmas this year feels almost empty, but its happy. Mom, dad, and Philip are gone so its just me, Haley, Jasper, Katelyn, and Tristan. Haley has been eating all the cookies, with lots of help from me. She can use the "Im pregnant" excuse though. I dont really have an excuse. I love christmas cookies!

Katelyn got me this beautiful necklace with a sun and moon charm that compliments my mark perfectly. I got Haley three chocolate bars and cash. The cash is so she can go shopping so I know she will like it.

Jasper stands from his place next to me and walks over to the tree, pulling out a medium sized box with a few small
holes poked in the sides and top. He stands in front of me, box in hand, and take a deep breath.

"Penelope, From the moment I laid eyes on you I knew you were perfect... even if you ran away from me. I remember everything you have ever said to me. I remember everything I have ver said to you as well and I realize that somewhere in there I lied to you. I told you were I would draw the line but lines, after all are boundaries. I dont want us to have any boundaries. Our love is limitless. I love you so much Baby girl."

He hands me the box and I pull back the lid to reveal a tiny kitten. I pull it out laughing at the memory of when he told me he "drew the line" at letting me have a cat.

The little black and white fuzz ball purred as I lifted it from its box and set it on my lap. I notice a silky red ribbon around its neck and untie it. It falls into my hand and I stare at the beautiful sight of the diamond ring. I look up to see Jasper on one knee.

"Marry me?"

Of course I said yes.
