WARNING! STRONG LANGUAGE! :D

Also I'm thinking of introducing relationships soon.... maybe by next chapter, if I've finally finished the whole Memories thing.... don't hate on my relationships (promise no MALEXMALE)

When I woke up, I was surprised to find myself in my bedroom, completely unharmed. The curtains were shut, and I couldn't see anything, it was pitch black. I fought my way out of the bed - I don't have a bedside lamp, I'm used to being able to see what I'm doing when I wake up - and stumbled over to the light switch, tripping over the bed and banging my head against the wall. Conveniently, I also hit the light switch, so at least I could see again.

"Fuck!' I growled, clutching my head in my hands.

This wasn't a matter of immune or not immune, it just hurt. I sighed angrily, waiting for the dizziness to pass. To comfort myself, probably cause I thought it would get rid of the pain quicker, I started swearing loudly.

-- Ahem. I don't think I'll tell you what I said. I'm not proud of it --

After all that, which took about five minutes, I decided to stop being a stupid, fifteen-year-old baby and set about putting some different clothes on. I was still wearing yesterday's clothes (at the time, I assumed it was the morning after. Oh no, that sounds absolutely wrong. I don't mean it like that). They were completely ripped up, and I had no idea how. Not really caring, I took them off and swapped them for some clean, whole clothes. My head was still pounding, but I was pretty sure I didn't have a concussion - not like I'd know, or anything - so I headed out of my room, sleepily. I felt somewhat complied to see if I could locate Bobby, although I was pretty sure I knew where he was. Yawning, I walked down the corridor, which was deserted. I assumed everyone else was in class. What did I expect? Accidents happen all the time here, life goes on.

The lab isn't far away from my room. Okay, it's on a different floor, but that doesn't mean it's a long distance to walk. In fact, it usually only takes me a minute or two. But this time it was different. I was feeling a bit nervous for some reason, so it took me at least five minutes to get there. I stood in front of the lab entrance for a while, working up the courage to knock and enter. I don't know why, I just didn't want to go inside.

'Ah, what the hell,' I sighed, quietly, knocking.

"Must be Richard, " a voice whispered. Sounded like Hank.

"Shall we let him in?" asked Jean.

"Jesus, guys, let me in," I said, sighing.

The door swung open. Inside were Jean, Hank and another bloke who I didn't recognise. Bobby was there too, sitting on a table with his head in his hands. He wasn't ice anymore, which was good, but he gave off a white-ish glow and he looked terrible. I ignored Hank, Jean and the bloke and sat down next to Bobby.

"You okay?" I asked, more out of habit than anything. Of course he wasn't okay.

"Hm," huffed Bobby.

I sighed. "How long's it been?"

"A day," said Bobby, hoarsely.

We sat in silence. I didn't really know what to say, and I'm not sure Bobby wanted to talk. Jean hung around awkwardly in the background, but Hank decided to come forward and introduce the man.

"Rick," said Hank. "This is Elixir."

Elixir smiled. "Call me Josh."

"Y-yeah, sure..." I said. "I'm... um... Rick."

"And...?"

"And what?"

"What's your mutant name?"
