Chapter 7

After work, Joe was leaving the set. He was quickly stopped by paparazzi. "Joe! We have some questions for you!"
"Um, all right, I guess." It seemed it was only a few people, so he guessed it would be fine.
"What's it like to work with Lily Collins?"
"She's a great actress, and she's so fun to work with." He said; which was true. Working with Lily was great, and she was actually kinda cute.
They asked a few more questions about the movie and solo music and his brothers, until a question about Demi popped up. "So, Joe, people have spotted you out with Demi again. Could you tell us what happened?"
"Well, we talked the past out, and now we're all good again," he smiled.
"Are you and Demi Lovato dating?" a pap questioned.
"No, we're not, Demi and I are just friends, but I'd be lucky to date a beautiful and talented girl like her again." After a couple of other questions, they let him go. He thought about what he said about Demi, realizing how much he missed being with her, not with her, but WITH her.

"Great shoot Demi!" the director of her new music video said at the end of the day. They had been filming since six in the morning. "This music video's gonna be amazing!"
"Well," she laughed. "It'll be thanks to you for directing it." They said their goodbyes and Demi made her way to her car. She was on twitter on her phone, and she decided to read her @replies. Her eyes widened at what she read. 'Sterling and Demi dating?! For a year?!', 'Stemi? No, thanks, I'm with Jemi(;', 'Awe, I'm so happy for Demi!', 'Sterling and Demi are sooo cute together!'. So many replies. What the hell was going on? She hit speed dial for Sterling as she got into her car.
"Hey baby!" Sterling sounded happy.
"Sterling, what the hell? Why do people know about us?" Demi, on the other hand, was really annoyed.
"I thought it would be time for us to let everyone know," he said simply.
"And you didn't even bother thinking about talking to me about this?"
"Well, I was hoping you'd be okay with it, but I didn't want to interrupt you on set."
She sighed. "Fine, I'm sorry, Sterling, for getting mad. I'm actually kind of glad we're out there now. We can go out in public without rumors flying around."
"It's okay, Demi. Hey, I gotta go. Love you."
"Love you, too." She said and hung up. She wasn't as mad anymore, just still a little annoyed that he didn't talk to her about it before he announced it.

"Woah, Nicole, look at this." Selena was on the laptop in Nicole's bedroom.
"What?" she asked coming back inside with the popcorn.
"Sterling announced that he and Demi were dating."
"That really isn't weird, it's about time. It's been over a year," Nicole said sitting down next to her.
"No, but earlier, I saw an interview. Joe said, 'Demi and I are just friends, but I'd be lucky to date a beautiful and talented girl like her again'. Well, you know how Sterling and Joe weren't exactly the best of friends."
"Oh, so that means Sterling thinks Joe still likes Demi?" Nicole's head tilted to the side.
"Nicole, we know Joe and Demi. They hit it off. Of course their chemistry is still there."
Nicole smiled. "Now does Demi know this?"
Selena sighed. "No, and don't tell her. She's really happy with Sterling and she just got her friendship with Joe back, I don't think she wants drama right now. If they're really meant to be, Joe would do something."
"So we see how this plays out?"
"Pretty much..."
