Peter takes my hand and starts to lead me back upstairs but I keep my feet planted, "What time is it?"
He seems shocked for a moment but then responded, "It's going on six, Why?"
"Oh um, I have to get going. I made plans at six thirty. I'll see you tomorrow kay."
"What about the vodkas?"
"You'll have to drink them both but I really gotta go sorry babe."
"Whatever," he shakes his head mumbling something under his breath. I choose to ignore it and head out the door running down the street towards Four's house which, unfortunately, is at least an hour away.
Once I get there I see my father's car in the driveway. I quickly run up to the Eaton's front door and ring the doorbell. When they don't answer for a couple minutes I start ringing it over and over really fast. I finally give up pounding the door and run over to my house. The first person I see when I slowly crack the door open is Dr. Eaton and Four standing at the bar with Andrew. My stomach wrenches into a knot, but this time, it's not because of Andrew, its Four. All three of them look in my direction when I open the white door.
"Beatrice your finally here!" Andrew exclaims walking over to me like we have the best father-daughter bond in the world. When he wraps his arms around me for a hug I flinch at his touch but don't move. Four and Dr. Eaton both pick up on my flinch, Four's jaw clenches.
"Mayor Prior," Dr. Eaton intervenes when Andrew lets me go, "We are actually here to speak with you about your daughter."
Andrew's eyebrows furrow, "What about her did she do something wrong, I'm afraid she is quite strong-willed, but we're working on it."
"No, this visit has nothing to do with her behavior. It has to do with yours."
"Mine? What do you..."
"If you would stop interrupting this would go a lot quicker." Andrew shuts his mouth looking quizzically at Dr. Eaton. Marcus continues "Anyway, we have heard that you have been abusing your daughter, and, as you might guess, that is against the law."
"I have done no such thing even ask her," Andrew says pointing to me.
"That would do you no good seeing as I'm the one who told them in the first place." I defend.
"WHAT?! You little good-for-nothing rat!" He yells at me. I quickly back away from his and bump into Four which makes my heart skip a beat.
"The authorities are on their way as we speak," Dr. Eaton continues,
"You have no proof!" Andrew says still yelling,
"You mean my back isn't proof enough of maybe the fact that you've never told anyone that you have a daughter would help my case."
"You know that doing this will kill your brother right? You'll never see him again!"
"Yes I will the police will find him!" I scream at him,
"It's too late even if they did I already killed him eight years ago, I just never told you!" His words destroy me. I throw my hands up to stifle my scream, my knees go weak and fall out from beneath me. Four catches me before I fall on my butt. Tears are now running down my face in hot steams my throat aching and eyes stinging. I see red and blue lights out the window but I don't process them they're just shades of color before my eyes. When the cops come in they immediately handcuff Andrew but before he leaves the door he gives one last devastating blow of words, "He. Is. Dead." I jump off the couch and wrap my small hands around his throat.
