I wake up with my head in his lap. What the hell? Why would he still be here? I think to myself. I move a little but I try not to wake him up. If he is still asleep, I can't tell.
"Welcome back to Earth," he says with that stupid smile I hate. I sit up since I know he isn't asleep.
"Why did you stay here with me all night?" I ask.
"You would be mad at me if I left," he says.
"Yeah right," I say, "You're still here because you would probably get caught if you left." I start to go to the door to leave not wanting to keep the conversation going. Before I leave I tell him, "I never cried last night. I just accidently fell asleep, and if I hear you tell anyone I did I will show your face my fist." I head out the room when he stops me.
"I won't say anything if you sit with my friends and I," he says.
"Fine," I say taking my arm out of his grip and leave. I get ready and head toward breakfast. I'm not very hungry so I only take an apple to snack on, and I head toward Isaac's table.
"Oh look Isaac your girlfriend decided to sit with us today," one of the guy's say.
I got up and walked to the guy. I punched him in the face and left. I'm pretty sure I gave him a bloody nose. I headed to my group ready to get started.
"Ok, today you will be connected to the scoreboard. Don't be expected to make it first since you've only been here a few weeks," the instructor says. "You will be tested on different obstacles for different abilities."
Anthony and I start on the speed obstacle. It looks like they put everything to slow a person down in one place. I get out first with a speed of 58.4 seconds, and Anthony comes out with a speed of 1 minute, 7 seconds. We got one of the highest scores in our group. We then go through strength, agility, and etc. I wheeze out of breath when it's all over. "Anthony, I don't know about you but I have never done so much in one day. I am ready to pass out."
I look over at Anthony and he in lying on the grass. I go over and sit by him. I think I fell asleep cause next thing I know it's dark out and Anthony isn't here anymore. I think everyone is asleep right now which makes me swear. I know the curfew is strict and everything is locked.
"Hey, I wanted to thank you for the bloody nose this morning," someone behind me says.
"No problem," I say as I quickly turn around me. Obviously it's the guy from this morning. Who else would say that. "Why are you out here?"
"I'm ready to leave," he says with a devious smile. "I'm not staying in this military prison waiting for them to assign me to the war."
Without thinking I ask "Can I come with you?"
He laughs "No it's hard enough just to get myself out, but I'll help you get back in though. Plus you have longer to escape than I do. If you do wanna leave again look for someone named Justin and ask him about the red bullets."
"Ok," I say.
"Man, do you ever smile?"
"No,"
"Ok then, follow me," he says. I follow him and get inside.
"What's your name?" I ask before I go.
"John," he says and quickly goes before the sun comes up.
I make it to the room seeing everyone asleep, except one. She looks at me with big eyes, and then she screams.
~Author's Note~
Hope you liked this chapter! It was a shorter one than I thought it would be. I don't want to upload a chapter every day so I took a bit of a break. I had the word hell in the beginning. I don't count it as a bad word but I try not to add any "real" swearing in my book. Anyway, I hope you like my silly book so far!
