Chapter Eight Nightime Clean up and Yule ball announcement

Draco's P.O.V

Why am I not surprised that Potter's name popped out of the Goblet and the worst thing is he probably didn't cheat, that would be too easy an explanation. There is some kind of Death eater conspiracy going on but I can't do anything about it. Father never tells me anything which is a good and bad thing at the same time. While all the commotion was going on I grabbed Astoria's hand and we slipped out of the dinning hall unnoticed it was time to begin my punishment. The corridors were largely deserted and we walked in a comfortable silence but the Astoria broke it and said, "You know I like when the world is peaceful like this, nothing but two people and breeze. It's therapeutic really it lets you get away from all the insanity in your day." Astoria was truly a unique creature, beautiful yet terrifying at the same time my tone was smooth as I said, "I enjoy solitude quit a bit love,though that may be because that's how I spent most of my life. My father was always to busy to pay any attention to me and mum always had big parties that I was terrified of, so I spent most of my time in solitude. I used to tell myself, "Don't complain you'll hurt mum and dad" As I got older though secluding my self in my room was no longer an option, I was forced into a world where I had no choice but to smile for all the cameras. We were the picture of the perfect pure blood family, on the surface at least, there are many cracks that run deeper than I would care to admit, so many sins that haven't been paid for and countless lives that have been destroyed for no other reason than the fact they weren't pure bloods. I refuse to be like my father and destroy lives I want to protect people and help build their lives, wether they are pure blood or muggle born doesn't matter to me."

I turned my eyes back to Astoria who had a pleasant smile and blush adorning her perfect face, her hair was a messy mass of curls being held in place by her wand which was stuck right through the middle of the mess but it was a beautiful mess. She finally looked up at me with her soul filled dark blue eyes that had a warm look and said, "I'm sorry love, it must have been terrible for you to go through that but now that you have Blaise and I you won't ever have to be alone again!" A true smile rolled across my face and I said, "It looks like we're here are you ready to get down and dirty love" I wiggled my eyebrows at the end for extra emphasis. She then did something completely unexpected, she unclasped her school robe and let it slid to the floor, she then pulled off her jumper and tie so now she was only in a white button up dress shirt. She then unbuttoned the top three and said, "Is it hot in here or is it just me?" I wanted to say something but I decided against it, she deserved better than cheap dirty jokes. I simply undressed the way she did and rolled up my sleeves and prepared to get to work.

I pulled out the cleaners and began to scrub the tables while Astoria started on the shelves, it was pretty entertaining to watch her try to reach the high things she always managed to pull it off though, she was just that tenacious, not to mention some of the language she used would send Professor Snape running. We finally got the area cleaned up and put all the supplies back where they belonged, Astoria was standing in the middle of the room staring our the tiny window that let the silver rays of the full moon filter in to the dreary room. If I were a werewolf she would be the first thing on my menu, she looked to good under this lighting it really illuminated her pale porcelain skin and gave her hair a shade of purple. She looked over at me and beckoned me forward with her finger and said, "Love I'm tired of us."

My whole world went spinning out of control when she said those words I can't even. She put her finger on my lips and said before you say anything let me explain,"I don't know what we are right now heck I don't even know where I am when I'm with you. I'm sick of running and pretending I don't want that kind of relationship. What I'm trying to say is I think it's time you know the truth about me." My mind was fried as she began to speak again my mind was set on one thing and one thing alone snogging her senseless when she finished her statement. She the said, "Draco I'm really a..." The door flew open and in strode Professor Snape who acted like there weren't two teens having a soul searching moment in his room. He looked around and said in his ice cold tone, "This is decent dismissed" He practically threw us out and slammed the door. We got dressed but I was having trouble with my tie so Astoria came over and began humming a tune that was startlingly familiar, it was a Thousand Years a muggle song. I coughed and said,"You have something to tell me, right?" She shook her head and said, "Professor Snape killed the vibe I will talk to you about it later." She then went skipping down the hallway. I turned to Professor Snape's door and silently cursed my potions Professor. He was no longer my number one Professor, I almost had her too.

The next morning the girls and boys were separated, we walked to a deserted classroom to wait for Professor Snape who was now my least favorite Professor. Blaise whisper yelled in my ear and said, "Maybe its about an eating contest?" I simply rolled my eyes and then Professor Snape drifted in the room with his robes fluttering behind him and said, "Good morning gentlemen your probably wondering why your here or at least the intelligent ones are. You are here because the Yule ball is coming up and I'm supposed to teach you to dance, not bloody likely mind you. Now at the sound of the wand you may pursue a date. He lifted his wand and a little pop sounded throughout the room and it was chaos but I only had one thing on my mind finding Astoria.

I saw George and Violet cuddled up together under a tree and I asked, "Have either of you seen Astoria?" Violet looked at me and said, "She's in the east courtyard, reading" I plowed over students left and right and finally she was in sight but a Gryffindor was headed straight for her so I hexed him and about eighteen other people in the yard as well they were in my way. Astoria finally looked up from her book and saw the carnage and said in a surprisingly calm tone, "I suppose you want to ask me to the Yule ball?" I nodded and she sighed and said, "Since you destroyed half of Hogwarts to get an answer I suppose the answer is yes" It was a dream come true and then a rustle came from one of the bushes and out rolled Blaise who was bloody naked and he screamed at the top of his lungs, "I don't ship it i luxury cruise it!' He then ran off and left us to wonder what the bloody hell just happened
