Chapter eleven Naked truth and deranged dragons

Astoria's P.O.V

Shock was the only thing running through my mind, this could not be happening to me. I can't believe I just spilled my darkest truth to the one person I was trying to avoid and to top it all off there was a very attractive mess on my bed, Draco Malfoy was striped naked and he didn't even have the decency to cover up in fact that bloody idiot said, "Love I know I look to good to resist but do try to control yourself" That smug arrogant little git, I'm going to murder him. I pulled my wand and he finally had the decency to cover up or maybe it was a reaction to the fact his life was in danger I'm going to go with option two. He finally stuttered out, "Love I would have told not to change cloth but I couldn't very well talk now could I? Before we talk more could you conjure a uniform for me?" I should really just hex him into oblivion but I decide to take mercy on the poor git and do as he asked. After he was dressed he brought up the conversation I was hoping to avoid. He spoke in a serious tone and said, "Love I'm so sorry about your parents if its any consolation I just want to tell you I'm disgusted by my father as well and I will always chose you over him." This brought a smile to my face and I finally said, "We should probably go in search of your wand love wouldn't want any stray ferrets to run off with it now would we?" He sighed and said, "Your never going to let me live this down are you?" I simply grinned and said, "Not as long as I live, even when we marry I will remind you every morning and every night before bed" He looked at me and said, "You're not upset with the arranged marriage anymore?" I laughed and said, "No but I do have one condition the minute we marry and sign the contract we tell your father the truth about me. I can't think of any greater punishment than him knowing his only child is married to a muggle born."

We finally found his wand, it was right where he was forced to leave it, we made our way back to the great hall for breakfast and Blaise was waiting with the biggest smirk on his face and said, "How are you my fine ferrety friend?" Draco looked as if he might strangle him and said, "I'm fine and if your not careful you might be having an adventure as a rat in Crookshanks vicinity. I would feel slightly upset if you were to get eaten but it wouldn't effect me too much." Blaise simply frowned and said, " But you would miss my handsome face." Draco simply scoffed and sat down but not before pulling me into his lap and nuzzling my neck. Parkinson came traipsing in and stopped before us and said, "This is unforgivable Drakiepooe is mine I challenge you to duel!" She then whipped out her wand and magicked her cloth away and there was a resounding Eww that echoed throughout the great hall. Professor Snape had to cover his mouth to keep from vomiting. I rolled my eyes and said, "Parkinson your so petty it's pathetic now put your cloth back on before everyone goes blind." She puffed up and said in a smug tone, "If this is the reaction they give me they should be disgusted by you!" She flourished her wand and I was left in my knickers once again. There was a collective gasp around the room and all of a sudden the looks of disgust turned to ones of awe. Several of the gentleman were now drooling. I hated being exposed like this my whole body flushed and Draco's grip tightened not in a painful or possessive way but rather a protective way and Blaise unbuttoned his robe and covered me with it. Dumbledore stood and said, "It is clear that Miss. Greengrass is the winner of this contest now we should all prepare for the first trial." I waved my wand and redressed myself and began to walk hand in hand with Draco too the arena.

It was packed there was barely any room to move at all and Blaise had Neveah in his lap while I was seated comfortably in Draco's lap most of the dragons went off with out a hitch but then it became chaotic when Harry took the field, he was up against a Hungarian Horntail the most aggressive breed of dragon there is and to top it all off Harry had to steal a golden egg that was hidden amongst its real ones. He couldn't use his wand either, so it was going to be a deadly challenge. I could help him out with my abilities but that wouldn't be fair this was something he had to handle on his own. Blaise began to get excited and said, "We actually get to see a real life dragon it's going to be so cool, I wonder if it will eat Harry?" We all just kind of looked at him curiously and then he saved himself by saying, "I don't want it to eat Harry I was just wondering if it would." Draco then said, "I don't think it will be interested in eating Potter the only thing on its mind is protecting its young. It will than likely impale him on its tail or roast him alive. Dragons are extremely protective of their mates and young that is when they are at their most dangerous. Potter better watch his step." I trained my eyes back on the arena and they finally brought the dragon out. It was one of the biggest I have ever seen, it's scales shone bronze in the sunlight and its yellow eyes were alert and scanning the area for signs of threat, it was truly a magnificent creature ashame it was being chained up like this. Harry walked out and summoned his broom and grabbed the egg after an intense chase around the castle but things immediately went crazy.

The dragon was on the lose and it was running rampant Collin Creevy stopped to take a picture and the dragon was conning straight for him, I jumped off Draco's lap and bounded over to him and managed to slip between him and the dragon and I said, "Easy girl no one is going to hurt your eggs." The teachers were now staring transfixed with the way I was taming this beast, it calmed its breathing and stopped flapping its wings, it then bowed its head and let me stroke it, that's when Professor Dumbledore called me away after they got the dragon back to its enclosure, Draco was forced to wait outside the headmasters office while I faced the firing squad of teachers. Professor Snape spoke first and said, "You saw nothing last night in addition you will not be allowed to watch the second match." My tone was desperate as I asked, "Why not?" Dumbledore stood and said, "I'm sorry dear it was not our choice the officials meet and decided that you could use your gifts to aid the Hogwarts students in the trials" Professor Mcgongall walked over and put her hand on my shoulder and said, "Sorry dear but we can't do anything about it you can watch it from your dorm room though so not all is lost and we trust you wholeheartedly." Dumbledore sat back down and said, "You are excused thank you for being so understanding."

I walked out with my head down and the moment I exited I saw that no one else was around that was odd Draco said he would wait for me. A small little letter on the ground caught my attention and when I opened it sparks and little smoke hearts came out and finally a message made of silver and green erupted from inside the packet. It read, "I have gone to take a closer look at the dragons. You can either come join me or head back to the common room. Draco" I folded the note back up and began walking to the area where the dragons were being kept for the trip back to the wild. My eyes fell on the cages and to my surprise they let Draco come right up and touch them with out any hostility or nervous gestures. I walked over and said, "This is amazing how are you doing this?" He smiled while continuing to stroke the Swedish Spitfires bright green snout and said, "They can smell my blood. Remember I'm descended from a very powerful dragon and that seemed to influence these lovely ladies." I smiled and said, "You will always be my dragon won't you?" He smirked and said, "I don't know all of these lovely ladies look gorgeous." I quirked an eyebrow and said, "If that's how you feel let me just go get Viktor and we can go to Hogsmead later and snog." He gave me a hard look and then pulled me in for a kiss and said, "You dare tempt the beast inside?" I smiled and said, "I don't think that beast would ever hurt me. Veela are incapable of hurting their soul mates it might be different for you though since your only a quarter Veela." He bumped my nose and said, "Lets test it out shall we" He poked me in the forehead it didn't hurt that much but it stung a little. Well that proves my theory wrong. He smirked and walked me back to the castle. We stopped to eat dinner and to my surprise Violet stood and walked toward us and said, "Astoria I'm very happy with George also Draco are you ready to get your arse kicked tomorrow on the pitch." He was about to respond to her taunt when Neveah went flying over the table and all but knocked Blaise unconscious and said, "I'm here ooh are we talking about the quidditch match tomorrow. " Blaise sat up and said, "Just because your my girl doesn't mean I'm going to go easy on you" She gained a smirk and said, "You know I like rough games Blaise hit me with all you got, oh and by the way cousin dear you should prepare to get crushed!" The girls walked away and left us on our own. It was going to be a hectic day tomorrow the first quidditch game of the season is always the most vicious.
