Chapter 2
It was a long drive to the airport, Ariana sat with me in the back as Scooter drove. Despite my mini nap back at the orphanage I was still really tired, and would have loved nothing more then to curl up on the seat and close my eyes.
Scooter drive the car to a stop inside a rental car Lot. He opened my door and helped me out, even though I was perfectly capable. 'Thanks' I blushed.
He helped Ariana out too and we waited against the fence as Scooter returned the car. My hand was fastened around the handle of my small suit case, the other was rubbing my arm trying to retain some heat.
It wasn't long before Scooter returned and we headed to a shuttle stop so we could catch a bus to the terminal. 'Um, Ariana, where are we going?'
She giggled looking down to me,
'Now far only to LA Hun. It only a 2 hour flight.' Nodding I looked around, there were a lot of people standing in the small shelter, and When the bus rolled up I wondered if we would all fit.
Every one was cramming themselves on and in the end we had to fit the three of us onto two seats, so I sat huddled into Ariana's side. In her thick coat she was really warm, and surprisingly she didn't mind me cuddling up to her.
Even I was a little bit annoyed when the bus got to the terminal and I had to detach, this was the first time in my life that I felt safe, and it was nice.
There wasn't much of a queue to the check in line so we got though quickly, having our passports checked. There was only a slight hiccup;
'Um, Miss Grande, I hate to intrude but this child,' she gestured to me, 'isn't registered under your surname.'
'Of course she isn't, I adopted her a couple of hours ago.'
'Ah, sorry for the confusion.'
We went through security pretty easily, then we were through into the main part of the airport. There were people everywhere and It was quite disorientating.
Ariana led me straight to Starbucks, where she brought me a hot chocolate, it was small, but it warmed my hands enough that I regained feeling in them. Taking a long sip, I gently tapped my fingers on the table.
It was quite a comfortable silence, and I found myself tracing the letters on the cup. Gently Ariana took the cup and placed it beside her own coffee, sliding out her white iPhone she snapped a picture and then typed something. I sent her a quizzical look.
Ariana smiled softly with a quite giggle, 'Twitter, and Tumblr.' She explained. She placed her phone on the table and started scrolling down the screen.
Scooter looked at her, 'Ariana, you need to be careful with Adeline. She is a person, not a dog like Toulouse or Ophilia.' Ariana looked up at him. 'And you don't know how everyone will react.'
'Scooter, I don't care how they react. Adeline is part of my life now, And nothing will change that.' She hugged me into her side, 'I need you to know that I will love you no matter what, ok baby?'
I nod, giving her chance to kiss my head softly. 'I love you too.' Even though I've only known her a few hours I know I can trust her, and in short she was my new mum.
'I know Hun.'

Once we were got on the plane I took a seat besides the window, even though I tried I couldn't get comfy, so I just sat there and watched as we took off. In truth I hated planes, especially when they were taking off, so I closed my eyes and clenched the arm rests in my hands.
