A/n- I know I haven't updated in a while, since before Christmas, but basically I wrote almost ten more chapters on my iPod, then I got an iPad for Christmas and when I was transferring my stories over I accidentally deleted everything, so I have to re-write everyThing, so this is a short chapter.
Chapter 11
When we arrived at the airport there was paparazzi everywhere, but this is LAX so it wasn't a surprise. I clung to Ariana, and we weaved our way through the doors, checking in then going through security. We headed straight to Starbucks, and I ordered a Caramel Cream, whilst Ariana got a soy Latte.
Suddenly we were surrounded. Cameras flashed and I had a microphone thrust into my face. I tried to duck out of the way but there were so many that I could hardly move.
"Who are you?" Someone asked.
"Guys!" Ariana shouted, for a moment everyone went silent. "Stop crowding us, if you must know this is Adeline, my adopted daughter."
There was a large collective gasp, and I tried to shy away from the cameras. "Hi" I squeaked nervously, overwhelmed by the sheer amount of people that were around us.
"Ariana, how long have you had Adeline for?- when did you get her?- how old is she?- Adeline, smile for the camera." We were swamped with questions, and as the cameras invaded my personal space I found myself slipping into darkness.
I woke with a gasp, laid on a sofa in the departure lounge. Ariana offered me a bottle of water, and I twisted the cap off with numb fingers. After a couple of gulps I was breathing heavy but my throat wasn't sore anymore. "Mum?"
I felt her wrap her arms around me, I inhaled her scent of strawberries. "You're okay, thank god. I was so worried about you." She pressed her lips to my forehead, and gave me an extra squeeze. The way she had been talking reminded me just how young she was. "How are you feeling hon?"
"I'm feeling better, what happened?" I tried to remember why I had fainted, then I realised that it must have been because of the paps. "I'm an idiot." I groaned.
Ariana laughed, "you're my idiot."
AN I know it's so short, but I'm honestly sorry for not updating, please forgive me.
