Surprise update because @AshlynSykes commented on the previous chapter.
Chapter 6
Katie was really nice, she was a lot like me in some ways. She is really smart, and she loves the things that I do. She also isn't very popular, not like the other girls. She lives in Venice (California) about 30 minutes away from the school, and her parents have to drive her everyday, which means she gets in super early.
At lunch time I sat with her and a few other people. One of the was this boy called Austin, he has blond hair that flops into his face, and emerald eyes. He would be a cute boyfriend, apart from the fact that he only dates other guys. Why are the fit ones always gay? The other person was another guy named Tyson, who is really funny. He likes to joke around, but never makes jokes about set people, so it's never hurtful.
I was still nervous as I took my sandwich out of my lunch box. Even though Katie was giving me reassuring smiles every time I looked at her. 'So Adeline, what was your old school like?' Tyson asks me after a while.
I shrug, 'it was ok, it was school.' I chuckled, hoping everyone would believe my lie. Luckily they did so I let out a big breath.
Once school had finished I waited outside, sitting on the walk and swinging my legs. I wait for what seemed like ages before my car finally pulled up. I waved goodbye to Austin as I jumped into the car and shut the door.
'Who was that boy?' Ariana asked immediately. 'He's cute.' Blushing I agreed with her, before running a hand through my hair. 'So come on, who was he? Your new boyfriend?' She seemed to take great pleasure in teasing me.
Shaking my head I glanced back at him, 'nah, he's just a friend. Anyway he plays for a different team.' I though for a minute, 'Mum! You can't go calling my friends cute. You also have a boyfriend!'
I lightly hit her on the arm, making her giggle more then she had been previously. 'I know I have a boyfriend. I was just saying, any way, it's not like I'm that old. Maybe you can find a cute boy who does bat for your team. Eh? Anyways, how was your day?'
Blushing again I shrugged, 'it was ok. I made a few new friends. And met someone else from the orphanage.' I frowned at that, and she seemed to pick up on it.
What she noticed my tone she frown herself, 'was it one of the girls that bullied you?' I nod. 'Well if she says something then you tell me ok?' I nod again, 'good girl.'
When we got home I quickly put my bag away and started doing my homework, it wasn't hard, only a little bit of maths. I shoved the sheet back into my bag then walked to the living room and sat on the sofa besides Ariana.
I picked a couple of grapes off of the table and popped them in my mouth. 'Oh yeah, I almost forgot. On Friday, I have to take you out of school at mid-day. I have an Interview in New York this weekend. It's that ok?'
I nod, 'yeah, that's awesome. Is it the whole weekend?' She nodded, 'yay, thanks mum.' Just then Nathan walks through the door, kicking off his shoes and hanging his jacket on the rack. 'Daddy!' I exclaim jumping up and giving him a hug.
Chuckling he pays my back, 'hey Princess, how was school? Any new friends? Oh and hey babe.' He smiled to Ariana, who was stood behind me.
'Adeline got a boyfriend!' She blurted out.
I raised my eyebrows in surprise, 'Mum!' My cheeks were on fire again. 'You know he isn't my boyfriend! He's gay!'
Both of them were laughing, and I found myself joining in. 'I know Hun. Anyway, how about we go out for a meal tonight? Yeah?' Smiling I nod, still breathing heavily from my giggle fit.
Once we were ready to go out we got the driver to drive us to a cute restaurant called Toast. It wasnt too far from my school, or Ariana's studio, and apparently she went here all the time.
I ordered a ham and cheese sub roll, with fries. Nathan ordered an Angus Burger, and Ariana had some pasta. Whilst we waited for our food I sipped at my diet coke and watched out of the window.
'So Adeline, is there anything you want to do in New York?' Ariana asked out of the blue. I nodded, then thought about it.
'Could we go to the Empire State Building. Or the Statue of Liberty? They seem really cool.' I took another sip of my drink, 'I haven't really seen much of America at all, so I don't mind.' I finished with a smile.
Nodding Ariana wrote everything down, like a journalist. 'There is a chance, that whilst we are in New York, people will start to ask who you are. Are you ready for that Hun?'
I bit my lip, was I? I'd just learnt how famous Ariana was, could I get that famous, as her daughter? 'Yeah, I guess I am Mum. It's not like you can keep me a secret for long.'
After tea we got home pretty late, so I said good night and when to bed. Going on my phone for a bit. I searched Ariana's name, and it came up with lots of links. One stood out though, "Did Ariana Grande Cheat on Jai Brooks." Scrolling down I found another, "Jai Brooks accuses Ariana Grande of cheating on him." There were others too like, "Jai Brooks calls Ariana Grande a slut and a whore."
I opened a few of the links, and read the articles, then I searched Jai's name. He was an Australian Teenager in a group called the Janoskians. He was pretty fit. After a while I switched to google images, and it came up with tweets from someone called Frankie James Grande, who said that Jai had broken up with Ariana over Text, and left her heart broken.
That night I went to sleep with questions buzzing around my head, who was Jai Brooks. More importantly who was Frankie James Grande? And finally, why was Ariana heart broken over some guy?

Questions questions questions, again I know. But I couldn't resist. But did you hear about that? I mean I hate drama but it was wrong of Jai to start back talking Ariana.
Also, Frankie!!! He's waiting on the sidelines for his cue, don't worry it's soon. And I can also tell you that something exciting is happening next update.

Fun Fact: well, Toast is an actual Restaurant in LA I've never been there but Ariana says she loves it there so I had to include it.
