Chapter 9: iLikeShawn

[Seattle] Carly's POV

Today's the day I'm gonna meet my boyfriend Shawn! I got ready 2 hours early and put on my best makeup and dress on.

"I know he's gonna break your heart!" Freddie comes in, ugh.

"Shut up! He's the sweetest guy I know!" I said back, sounding excited.

"Well, if he ever dumps you, I'm always available..." He flirted back, I scoffed.

When it was time, I headed out to the front of our building.

"Hey! What are you doing dressed up like that!?" Lewbert asks, disgusted at my outfit.

"I'm gonna meet my boyfriend!"

"HA! He's gonna dump you before you know it!" He laughs and goes into his office.

"Well!" I scoffed.

"Baby!!" I heard a familiar voice and turned around. It was Shawn! I run up to him and hugged him tightly.

"Hey! You're Carly! I love your webshow!" He says, I blush.

"Thanks...." I get a little carried away.

"Hey, we have a show in about 5 hours, wanna be featured?" I ask, he nods.

"Uh, yeah! Come on!" He takes my hand and we walk up to my our apartment.

[Los Angeles] Tori's POV

"So, how did you and Shawn go?" I ask Jade, she seemed to be a little calmer than before. I think she's finally starting to care about me!

"Well, we talked. I told him about my past, he seemed to understand." She replied.

"See, he's such a sweet guy! I'm so lucky to have him as my boyfriend..." I trail off, she glares at me.

"Why don't we have lunch!" I changed the topic and we ate.

"Oh yeah, where is Shawn anyway?" Jade asked.

"Oh, he's in Seattle for a meeting. He'll be back on Friday."

"That's weird. A whole week?"

"The dude's busy! Give him some time, would ya!?"

"Well, sorry Mrs Mendes!" Jade teased me.

[Seattle] Carly's POV

Shawn was about to perform a soundcheck since we've never had live music on the show before. Freddie didn't seem to interested in him.

"Okay, soundcheck take one! This is just a little test to see..." He begins.

"Yeah! Nerdy talk. Let's go..." Sam insulted, he glares at her.

"This is a song called Life of the Party. I hope you all like it." Shawn says and begins to strum his guitar. Me and Sam smiled, about to admire his beautiful, angelic voice.

Our smiles faded instantly. He sounds like as if he's drunk! Freddie makes a shocked look, but he seems satisfied at Shawn's horrible voice. He continued to sing, as I cringed.

"How was that?" He asked. Me and Sam slowly put our thumbs up.

"Awesome! I can't wait till we go live..." Freddie says sarcastically. Me and Sam looked at each other in shock. Is that how Shawn really sings!?

"So uh, I'm gonna get ready downstairs. If you guys don't mind." Shawn says and leaves.

"Well, I think we know the results of the soundcheck! Did it sound horrible?" Sam asked.

"Check!!" She and Freddie said together.

"You guys, this isn't funny!" I protested.

"Did you not hear him?" Sam said.

"Cause it was pretty funny!" Freddie added.

"Stop it! What are we gonna do?" I panicked.

"Uh, we're gonna tell him he can't sing on the show cause he sounds like a pile of poo." Sam said sassily.

"I can't just..." I dragged her far away from the door. "I can't just tell him he's too poo-ish to sing on our show."

"Carly..."

"I like him, and I know he likes me. And if I tell him he's a terrible singer, it's gonna ruin everything."

"But if you do let him sing, everybody's gonna hear it and then viciously rip on him for the rest of his life!" Sam said, she did have a point.

"Oh man, what am I gonna do!?" I panicked.

They both shrugged their shoulders. Wow, you two are my best friends and gave me zero help to this situation so far!!
