Chapter 16

I introduced the boys to my uncle and he was happy for me. Then we left for his house to spend the night and later would meet my other relatives.

"Namaste, aap kaisi ho?" I greeted my aunt

"Thiik hun, tu bata. London mein ho ke ai hai aur yeh logo kaun hai?" She replied

"Yeh mere dost hain. Niall, Liam, Zayn, Louis aur yeh Harry hai. Mera boyfriend." I told hesitantly

"Suna tha iske bare mein. Tu khush hai naa?" She said 

"Haan"  

And that's how my aunt surprised me, accepting Harry. Only about 100 more relatives to go. Note the sarcasm.

I introduced the boys to my cousins and one went crazy over them.  Who knew that I would once be close my favorite boy band. 

"Zayn would you come here for a moment?" I called out to him while Harry was seated by my side watching a cricket match with Louis. Niall obviously was in the kitchen with my grandmother watch her cook some Indian delicacies. 

"Yeah Karin just a minute," Zayn said and soon came into the living room.

"So, you called." 

"Yeah, can you please make sure that Niall doesn't eat all the chocolate in the fridge and Perrie called. She wants to talk to you." 

As soon as Perrie's name came out of my mouth, Zayn's smile turned into a frown. They have not been talking much. I have no idea why but let's just hope for the best.

"Hey have you seen Liam?" I asked Niall as I entered the kitchen to get some water. 

"Yeah, He's on the chhat. What does it mean again?"

"Roof. It means the roof. In India, most of the roofs are like a balcony on top of the house." I replied amused by his pronunciation.

I climbed the stairs to the roof and saw Liam standing near a rocking chair staring into the starry night sky with a small book and a pen in his hands. He jotted down a few more words and then turned and suddenly screamed. I in turn, just laughed my guts out. 

"What on earth do you think you are doing? You almost gave me a heart attack!" He exclaimed.

"I came to call you down for dinner. And why on earth are you up here all alone?" I question him.

"Life is never how you expect it to be.  I really like this girl and I've given her a few signs but she didn't seem to notice them and now she's my best mate's girlfriend. I feel as though I'm not worth to live in this world now." He  said as tears rolled down his cheeks.

I tried to calm him down a gave him a hug. I looked him in the eyes and said, "You worth more than you think. You are a very kind and smart and lovable man. That girl isn't meant for you. You will find your true love one day. Now get over her and let's eat some food 'cause I'm starving and I don't want Niall to eat my share." I said while Liam laughed. 

Just before we went down, he hugged me and said, "Karin, Harry is very lucky to have you." I just smiled in return.
