The next morning I woke up and collected my mail. My mom was coming back today so I thought of cleaning the house. I first started by scrubbing the kitchen and then sweeping the living room.
By the time the time I reached my room, my stomach started rumbling. I woke Harry up and asked him to boil some rice after he was cleaned up.
I was planning to make some dal rice so, I cooked my dal, and right before my mom came, I just finished plating the meal.
"Ma! How are you?" I said as I opened the door.
"Fine. How's Katherine holding up with you both?" my mother asked
"Oh shit! I forgot to pick her up."
"Language, young lady." My mother warned.
"Sorry. I'll go get her." I said and rushed to my car.
I drove to her friend's house and picked her up and brought back home, all within 15 minutes.
We all had a lovely dinner and just before bed, I was reading my mail. I got a letter with no name or address. Inside it was a printed letter which said,
"How long will you hide from me? You are and will be mine forever."
I didn't tell anyone about the letter and went to bed with a million thoughts runs through my brain.
